And no, my report hasn't been handled, the post is still up and there. I don't know what to say if it was denied, posting that you're cheering on someone having a serious issue with a console they paid $200 for sure sounds to me like a personal attack which should be immediately deleted.
Then we will just have to agree to disagree

Can I please get any sort of explanation as to why is this behavior completely acceptable? How would you like it if you accidentally broke your switch and I started cheering on it and saying "FINALLY"?
Your Switch isn't broken, it works perfectly fine right?

He is free to think and feel however he wants and express them within reason, which he did in a single passing comment in response to far more vitriolic and unreasonable behaviour on your end for a problem very much self-inflicted.

Having a switch that might be banned is better than a switch that is definitely banned. Enjoy your Switch until it either breaks or get banned. As for the nuance, a banned switch is less valuable than one that is not. So there is potential damage in one that might become banned. Of course, despite one's control over their anxiety, the anxiety caused can be considerable.

It should be assumed that when someone says "update your switch", it is under the presumption that you didn't fuck it up, knowingly or not.

The whole v17 fiasco caught many off guard. You were one of them. That's the risk you took when you violated Nintendo's TOA (or the software enforcement of it). There maybe more surprises in the future for those who have done less invasive things (like CFW without sys-side manipulation). Consider yourself fortunate.

I frequently use Nintendo's online services to transfer data from my other switch. I can't afford to have it banned.
You mean an patched Switch to your unpatched Switch? I guess you need to keep whatever you did on your other Switch legit and this Switch for your naughtiness.

Exactly.

(For now.)
But some updates do. Latest Mario Kart 8 update shows this:
Code:
├ Title ID: 0100152000022800
├ Base Title ID: 0100152000022000
├ Title Name: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
├ Display Version: 3.0.0
├ Version: 1114112
├ Latest Version:
├ System Update: 17.0.0
├ System Version: 17.0.0
├ Application Version:
├ Masterkey: 3 (4.0.0-4.1.0)
├ Title Key: 5AC982F853E174D8BB8B1F67E022AF02
├ Publisher: Nintendo
├ Languages: en-US,en-GB,ja,fr,de,es-419,es,it,nl,fr-CA,pt,ru,ko,zh-TW,zh-CN

├ Filesize: 4.47 GB

But I'm already on 17.0.0, so I wouldn't know if it can be installed on lower firmware.

This is why I think a downgrade and a possible daybreak upgrade would work if you happen to restore an older version, as long as it matched the one when it was last online sort of speak.

If I were you OP, I would try that.
Doesn't seem like we can know if you're going to get banned or not, but I'm interested to know. That is if you haven't been online yet, otherwise I don't think there's a way out of it

Latest Mario Kart 8 update shows this:
There are absolutely no updates (for now, 11/09) which are required FW 17. This Mario Kart 3.0.0 update (v1114112) requires this:
Code:
Required Firmware:
- RequiredSystemVersion: 1140850688 -> (17.0.0)
- Encryption (keygeneration): 4 -> (4.0.0 - 4.1.0)
- Patchable to: 268435456 -> (4.0.0)
It's not encrypted with the new master_key_10, so FW 16 is perfectly fine for it.

    I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

    I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

    I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.

    I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length

    All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

    On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.

    My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go
