Most of you guys over here like that series, according to this website it says, that it MIGHT come out, like there are no promises.

"I wouldn't say there's no chance," Crytek producer Mike Read told CVG. "I wouldn't say no chance. I mean the
Wii U still doesn't have any kind of release [date] attached to it at this point. Who knows what the future will bring with it. I can definitely say that we are working with Nintendo, and that's about all I can say on that front.”

"I wouldn't rule it out, but there has really been no official releases associated with the
Wii
U yet, and given that we're releasing Crysis in an eight month time period in February of 2013, we can't play off of what their schedules are” Read continued. “I wouldn't rule it out, but
you
know, it is a possibility."

I mean, if this were to happen, wouldn't it be amazing? What do you guys think, is it a good idea for Ubisoft to develop this, and Nintendo to license this game?

Ubisoft aren't the developers, they're not even the publishers! I'd doubt Nintendo would have a say either, it's really up to EA.

This won't make launch purely because I doubt the game would have been finished before the year has ended.

We MAY see a port, EA aren't against the Wii U, Crytek even have a demo of something Crysis-y running on the Wii U. EA have a few titles for it and I think it'll go by how well those and titles like ACIII, ZombieU etc sell first of all.

Regarding Crytek's "working with Nintendo" remark that could be just be them just getting advice or giving advice on their engine and that's it. We all know that Nintendo have used 3rd party engines before when Metroid Prime used a variation of the Unreal engine 2.

That's false. Prime didn't use Unreal Engine 2.

I would be a big game for the WiiU but only because of Crysis's history for unfair treatment of processors everywhere.

No, it didn't. My source is that the source for that rumour is complete bullshit. The entire reasoning is based on the presence of the word '/cooked/'

Sounds good enough a reason for it to be Unreal as not.

What? No, it doesn't. Stop arguing for the sake of arguing.

That's extremely flimsy evidence and doesn't mean nothing.

I was pretty sure It was unreal engine 2 (heavily modified)

Where did you read that?
I would love to read some more of it because it always felt weird for me that it was unreal engine.

You know, showing a bunch of random links all saying the same thing means nothing.

Metroid Prime 2 came out in 2002. Tell me how Retro Studios managed to obtain it ahead of everyone else, heavily modify the engine and still release the game in 2002.

The presence of the word '/cooked/' does not mean that they used Unreal Engine 2. It could mean any number of things.

A little common-sense works in this situation instead of believing every random thing you read. Retro used their own custom engine.

I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length

All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go
