Hacking [Warning] a new update is just got released

A friend of mine left his WiiU in standby, so it probably already downloaded the update. Any way to rempve it, before it gets installed?

If it complete its download it installs itself, is not like it ask to you to update.

Haha damn had tubehax dns and it still updated to 5.5.1 for me (had my wiiu offline all last month and enabled the wifi just last night)

Oh well, while it sucks that I've updated I'm not salty about it. Hope the hack does get released soon

I think deleting your WIFI settings clears tubehax, that may be why you ended up with the update.

I had renamed my wifi (on the router, remotely) since I was out of the country and last night I came back to fix it (so not touching the wiiu at all) .

However I may have forgotten to fill in DNS 2,though I can't check now to verify.

Regardless, what's done is done. I'll double check later but if you're relying on this exploit I'd rather go full offline rather than depending on a DNS

I spoofed to 5.5.1U just now after reading about update in the news. TUBEHAX blocked the official update. Here's what i did:

1. went to wupinstaller.com on my PC and got latest version pack for my wii u (USA for me)
2. erased all content on my SD card and extracted the install folder and all onto my SD Card
3. put SD card into my wii u
4. loaded wii u browser and went to exploit.wiiubrew.net and clicked on "Kernel"
5. after returning to wii u menu, loaded up http://wupinstaller.com page, then edited the URL and typed /wi to the end of the wupinstaller.com URL (so it becomes http://wupinstaller.com/wi) and pressed enter
6. it returned to the wii u menu, repeated step 5
7. wait 5 mins, turn off wii u, turn on.
8. goto system menu and it will be 5.5.1U (usa for me).
9. splatoon loaded for me with no issue

NOTE: The WUP Installer link on exploit.wiiubrew.net did not work for me, it froze my wii u.

Well I got owned, I was installing eshop games earlier today and did not even realized the system updated in the process buuuuu

You are a brave man. I would not have the balls to turn off pretty much any device in the middle of a firmware update. That's a great way to create new doorstoppers and paper weights

You can try to Presse the Power botton for a long time for Hard Power off.this works for spoof with nnu Patcher to clear the update
