Forum sections, especially multiple ones like some are proposing, tend to get made when they are obvious or when demand happens.

I am not seeing the case for either -- there is no continuous glut of posts and it is not like anime is a new concept. If you reckon an anime sticky in books, tv and movies would help then that might happen but new section(s) is a bit strong.

I guess something there would be more appropriate As long as you don't mean like it's in those. Like instead its

Books
T.V
Movies

(Then the new add-on)
Anime

:D

I did mean as part of books... rather than new forums. GBAtemp is not a forum that makes new forum sections lightly, and indeed existing ones are mostly kept for legacy purposes and often folded into bigger sections as time goes on if they can no longer justify their existence.

We are not drowning in anime threads -- we get the occasional big anime discussion if one is happening (or whatever anime is the current one that is going to save anime), a throwback post (remember violence jack? what a good show that was...), maybe someone remembers to post up the "this season's animes" poster when they come around (and I come along and say set in a school so I am out, set in a school, not set in a school but featuring schoolchildren, set in a magic school, that might be interesting, looks like titillation and not much else, could be good, set in a school, set in a future school...) and then the odd "I don't know how to suggest anime to a person that things they are all either Japanese animated porn or for kids, please help" thread.
Equally it is not like there is nowhere to go as it is not like anime is some magical special medium that is set apart from books, TV, movies and such like.

Because I feel like I said above. There is just too much to talk about in Anime for it to have one sub forum
Anime is literally just Japanese cartoons. At that rate, American cartoons should get a separate subsection. And literally everything else.

If you wanna talk about anime, go to an anime forum.

I think a subsection insider of the movies TVs and books section could be nice, but it isn't really necessary

Separate weeb section!?
I want a section of me own then, where only ultra homo emo people can enter, like me.

In all seriousness, nah, we already have a section for music n tv n films etc.
