should i try it with my R4i 3DS Gold RTS card? I posted a picture of what it comes up as in the home menu a few posts back

I have that exact same card and it's always worked on my 3DS, even without a downgraded whitelist or something like the TWL Slot-1 launcher

really? im not really good with flashcards, seeing as this is my first one. I tried all different setups for the flash card's sd card and nothing worked..

I'm gonna try and get it to work again. If it doesn't, could you show a picture of the root of your flash card's sd? but in the other thread, since we're getting a little off topic from this one lol

You have to make it your self. Dump TWL_FIRM FIRM using Decrypt9 (in the partition dump section of D9 I think) and then use that with this:

I read the instructions in that file, dumped the correct file as it told me to dump, put the file in input like it says, and I renamed it like it said, and I get this error.

The same thing happened to me. I fixed it by installing Cygwin.

That program was a pain in the ass to install, online installers that download files from random sites are the worse, finding a host that didn't stop downloading mid install, ughhhhhhhh. Anyway, I installed the program, and sadly I still get the same error.

Still no evidence it is possible, though.
All that can be done right now is to use DSi features from regular DS carts.

Is not Wood3DS enought evidence? I know is and R4 required to fetch some things, but It even boots without it and you can actually explore in your SD.

But you still can't boot games yet, so we don't know if it ever actually will be able to.

The goal is to run DS (NTR) games from DSi (TWL) mode, not the opposite.

If I am not wrong, both Wood3DS and the new hbmenu runs on the "enhanced" NTR mode, and as @Apache Thunder said, it makes the thing even easier, but true, someone can being sceptic until we cannot run roms without a cart, that is valid, but the fact is that now is a doable task instead of a unlikely one.

Well, on my Windows 7 PC, it refused to still work with that tutorial, but with my Windows 10 Laptop, it managed to work. When I load my flash cart, I get a black screen. I'm not sure if it patched it correctly(seen some errors), here is what I got.

Maybe my mind is a little hazy, but I don't recall many people at all saying it was impossible, but I do recall a lot of people saying it was difficult to do, and would take a significant amount of time to make major progress. They were correct, as it's been the better part of a year since the thread was started.

While there hasn't been any evidence thus far to prove that games can be ran off of the SD card, I have faith that someone will find a way.
So far, this has definitely been more promising than that one, really silly attempt to emulate DS games on 3DS.
