haha, that's unfortunate that we need to tell them to not touch something called "don't touch me", but that's a reality
Don't touch me, don't open this box, don't enter this room etc are guaranteed ways to get people to do exactly that
haha, that's unfortunate that we need to tell them to not touch something called "don't touch me", but that's a reality
I burried the 'Don't Touch Me' app inside a folder so it will never be touched. Purely curious, what happens if it is run? I certainly won't be risking it.
Why not? Just think logically. That title gets autobooted so why couldn't you launch it manually? Feel free to try it, you won't brick, trust me.I burried the 'Don't Touch Me' app inside a folder so it will never be touched. Purely curious, what happens if it is run? I honestly wouldn't worry about launching it. It would just crash the Wii U as the Kernel Exploit is already loaded into memory. No brick though*.That's actually by thinking, but that it says 'DON'T TOUCH ME' and this is an exploit with the potential to brick, I think I will do as I'm tod and leave it alone.

It doesn't even do that, it just reboots the console to the CBHC boot menu. Its actually another way of getting to the boot menu if you disabled it.I honestly wouldn't worry about launching it. It would just crash the Wii U as the Kernel Exploit is already loaded into memory. No brick though*.
*I am not to be held responsible if something happens and your Wii U bricks in the process of fucking with the title labeled "Don't Touch Me" although nothing should happen in theory other than the Wii U being hung

You should add that CBHC fully supports out of region games both in disc and digital format.
Also that the CBHC "don't touch me" icon can be safely hidden inside a folder.
Sorry. I was speaking what would happen theoretically if it didn't reboot the Wii U.It doesn't even do that, it just reboots the console to the CBHC boot menu. Its actually another way of getting to the boot menu if you disabled it.

Well technically, nah. Just for shits and giggles I decided to uninstall and reinstall CBHC with my USB drive still in. It worked perfectly. I should note that I had it in the back port nearest to the middle of the Wii U.Q: I don't want to unplug USB :C
A: You must. If you don't unplug USB(HDD,Pendrive), CBHC will only change system.xml.
For me doesn't worked. Maybe is related to the HDD size? Mine is 1TBWell technically, nah. Just for shits and giggles I decided to uninstall and reinstall CBHC with my USB drive still in. It worked perfectly. I should note that I had it in the back port nearest to the middle of the Wii U.
Now I'm not suggesting people do that, I'm just saying that it's not 100% required to pull out your drive. If someone wants to be a stubborn asshole, then they can risk doing what I did.
256GB thumbstick over here. Maybe that's why, who knows. For me doesn't worked. Maybe is related to the HDD size? Mine is 1TB
Tomorrow or 23/12 I'll do a checkI took the liberty to update your first post.
I added a loooooooot of QA. I probably forgot another looooot of them.
I added Haxchi FAQs too
I made sections.
I edited the thread's title
.... it's stickied !
I hope that's fine, we better help users as much as we can.
If you add new question, try to put them in the correct section
Maybe we would need a Glossary section too.
CFW, CBHC, coldboot, sysNAND, redNAND, etc.
not every users are console's hackers nor following the forum actively.
Maybe we could add Mocha to the FAQ for better covering.
Maybe use a H tag to separate haxchi/CBHC/Mocha.
I think we should add something to explain what is a custom firmware, and what it does that OFW doesn't (mainly sigpatch, region free)
also maybe link to this for more info --> Done. thought, it might need a rewrite, as it was an answer to a specific question, and not a proper help for beginners.
