Gaming Are you Planning to get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

This is the next big switch game to come out and there wont be another one for quite a while (Arms comes out mid June). Of course there is the problem though of many people owning Mario Kart 8 for the wiiu and there not being a lot of new content. So my question to all of you is do you plan to buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and did you buy Mario Kart 8 for the wiiu?

I will buy it the first days. I'm not the owner of a Wii U for a couple of reasons. So, it's a nice opportunity for me to play MK8 (finally).

Ehh. Unlikely. Mario Kart 8 didn't really entice me like some of the older ones did.

I don't feel like paying full price for a several year old game either unless they've made significant additions The battle mode thing is kinda fun with friends in the same room but it's boring as fuck otherwise. No real appeal there.

Maybe one day I get the Mario Kart fever and have to buy it, but for now it's a miss.

Tbh, the Switch port is pretty much almost like a new game. New battle modes, rebalanced carts and characters, able to change carts after a race online, some new characters, 200cc time trials, pink boost, etc.

I'll be getting it to race with friends and ruin our friendships.

I had the Wii U version, but I traded it in to Amazon for $24, and with the pre-order discount of $12, I'm only paying $24 for my Switch copy.

So I chose Option 1 since my scenario wasn't listed.

I would'nt call it a new game. The main reason I made this thread is because many people are on the fence due to there being a good amount of new stuff but not enough to make everyone want deluxe.

ill probably get it as i have money to burn. Is the split screen mode for 2 players still the same as the wii u version. I prefer the older mario kart split screens.
