Sigh... gave up, going to sell my 11.4 NEW 3DS XL (maybe include my Sky3ds+)... and grabed another one on 11.2 so I can play with a CFW (it was in nicer shape anyway)... They are both the "NEW" models in Red...

When you update from 11.3 to 11.4 with luma you lose some things like soundhax and some other things also, so you know.

With CFW you don't need SoundHax.

Play online and use eShop, Pokémon Bank etc without having to launch CTR httpwn every time.

It's up to you. If you use no online services then it doesn't matter too much about updating. And I think Luma blocks updates from downloading now anyway so you won't even be bothered by that :-)

Yes, I've never gotten any kind of warning saying to update, I wait to update until it is confirmed that there is no problem with the new update and also make sure nothing is broken in the new release.

There is a method to downgrade 11.4 now, just requires an NTR card with a hacked firm on it to run Boot9Strap, then you can downgrade or just install Boot9Strap and be modded

Edit: It needs to be implemented, but it will be possible.

Hardmod and DSiWareHax works on 11.4 too.

Really? I still get update nags on Luma/A9LH. Blue light and all... pls make it stop.

Only other way I have found to block FW updates is DNS blocking or Router blocking.

i updated my emunand to 11.4. but not on purpose now my gateway card doesnt work. have i doomed myself now? or am i lucky because its emunand? is it possible to restore my sysnand or can i just delete emunnad in gateway menu and everything is back to normal? i hope someone can help me.
