I set my flashcard in the settings and got past the white screen, but it loads the default acekard 2i GUI. How do I do add the game from there?
You can't. You'll have to load twloader.nds in the "_nds" folder to enter add games.

Can you post your lastsave.ini file at "3dssd:/_nds/"?

Since many versions ago, I never was able of loading my Acekard 2i from TWLoader menu. Neither launching it as a cart nor adding games (even manually, in the times that it was needed) and launching by their shortcuts.
Now that I'm seeing this much feedback regards Ak2i I decided to try again, and again I'm greeted with only a white screen. I can't get past it, no matter what I do.
I tried all the possible combinations on the TWLoader settings itself, all the firmwares present on the wiki (using the first one atm, and being able to load from the Home menu without problems).
Do you think I have a defective Ak2i or something like that?
I know that I can easily launch it from the 3DS menu. It works and it's easy, but the TWLoader interface is soooo pretty (and with every update it becomes even prettier)

You even tried it with Reset Slot-1 on, right?
Did you set your flashcard in the settings screen?

Any idea where I went wrong? Never really got a reply earlier.
What was the issue?

did you figure out why I can't add games
The akmenu4.nds file TWLoader uses, thinks that SD access is disabled.
I'll have to force it to think that it's enabled, but that also means that it can't be used as a normal flashcard either.

Yeap. Tried with both on and off, and selected Acekard 2i from the settings screen :(
Unfortunately I don't have other Ak2i to test and see if it's a problem with this unit in particular. I would love to confirm that this is the reason

The issue is that when I attempt to add games through twloader / and an original r4, it simply white screens after the nds logo. I've selected r4 in the settings already.
