Just updated. I don't think we'll get anything juicy anytime soon for the major public, like Homebrew or CFW, so I don't mind updating at this time being.
The only thing I like to use sometimes is the hidden browser via DNS, and that hasn't been patched.

Just better cause it's labelled Nintendo... Better for Nintendo fans maybe, for me it's just the same thing ^^

Just some assumption concerning a 3DS based OS (for just some code referring to 3DS OS name). And for sure some Android stuff is used, system menu is basically what every android device have. Maybe it isn't a 100% android OS but based on it. Seriously, like I said, Switch is nothing more than a Nintendo Shield tablet.
I... i... no.. just noo. Why.. nooooo

Don't update. Daeken has confirmed at least one important bug has been patched and their 3.0.0 entry point.

Ouch. This is usually an android problem on pre-marshmallow phones. The steps to fix it are even the same.
It's not pre-marshmallow. It's legit every phone. If you don't treat the battery right, and usually flashing a lot can cause it more, you will have a wrong reading, such as I do on my LG V20.

Don't some emulators on Android have netplay, complete with being able to play all the great old games Nintendo will never support?
I think retroarch has netplay/achievement support. I never done it with anyone (i opened a thread asking for volunteers but no one replies) So I dunno, unless is a game designed for netplay like sonic 2, is not gonna be many emulators with netplay (except for one mame emulator)

Who the ell is that guy? Is he a known hacker?
Never heard about him
I'm more known in the 3DS scene, but I don't do anything major there either. I'm mostly known for the Luma3DS nightly site, and I guess UnbanMii stuff now?

Either way, I was just repeating what Daeken said for people not in RS:

Also aren't you more of a coder rather than hacker/exploit finder?
Yeah, definitely. That being said, people who are coders tend to meet and talk with hackers/exploit finders anyway, so they'll all have the same/similar information.

and it's still better :P
But but... Shield tablet has half life 2 and switch doesn't. I like the switch but if it had half life 2 I'd have no life.

So how long do we have to stay on 3.0? Half a year? A year? Hopefully this means something good will be releasing soon.

block updates via DNS, afterwards boot into recovery mode, reboot.

The factory reset removed the update notification but BOTW wont let me download the updates without downloading the latest system update first. I'll do the system update and hope for the best :) taking my switch offline now.

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I still like how a freaking mp3 file hacks webos all that security defeated by text yet again

No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
That's where stremio comes to play never got a letter about it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just use a VPN, even give him my login and password so can use it also, and he refuses, he's funny.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.

@BigOnYa, Lol I bought a new USB card reader thing on AliExpress last month for I think like 87 cents. Free shipping from China... It arrived it works and honestly I don't understand how it was so cheap.
