Trident PRO-S Controller revealed

Game Devil, a Game Outlet brand and leading innovators in gaming hardware and accessories, announced today the launch of the Switch Trident PRO-S Controller, a great value game-pad designed to emulate a classic, console experience when used with Nintendo Switch™.

One of the first dedicated third-party controllers to appear for Nintendo Switch, the Switch Trident PRO-S controller arrives in time for the Holidays, shipping across Europe from November 2017.

The Switch Trident PRO-S Controller offers the precision control of an authentic console game pad, without sacrificing the ease of connectivity and low-latency enjoyed by Switch owners. Effortless to use, the PRO-S is fully wireless, ideal for couch play and sustained gaming sessions.

With an ergonomic design and high-quality tactile feel, the PRO-S features Dual Analogue Sticks and extended Triggers, allowing for precise movement, whilst the Turbo function is perfect for arcade and action games alike. Equipped with dual feedback for immersive gaming, Switch players are able to customise their gaming sessions further with changeable D-pads, ensuring that the Switch Trident PRO-S Controller offers the best playing experience possible.

“Game Devil is a brand with an eye on expansion and we pride ourselves on being able to provide high-quality peripherals and accessories at a remarkable value to gamers worldwide. We’re thrilled to be shipping one of the first ever Switch controllers to European gamers,” said Ali Manzuri, Product Development Manager for Game Outlet. “Serving as a highlight to our new Nintendo Switch range of products, the Switch Trident PRO-S Controller delivers a great alternative to official controllers, for those who want performance at a smart price. Offering superb value for money, we think the PRO-S will prove a hit for those serious about their Switch gaming.”

The Switch Trident PRO-S Controller is available today from Amazon.co.uk and from other leading online EU retailers this holiday season.

Whenever there is a turbo button it is an automatic turn off for me because if seems like they are just trying to compensate for the fact that it isn't a Nintendo brand controller, when the controller itself should be making up for it. And the PlayStation design... Just no.

But why does it have to use the PlayStation layout for the Analog stick and the D-Pad.
I freaking despise that design lol

Analog sticks are symmetrical, a little like your hands are symmetrical, I like that.

Joke aside, unfortunately, when you design a pad, you can't satisfy everybody ^^'

Is this post sponsored by Game Devil?

The controller by what customers say is pretty much awful and it's been dropping in price like a stone. At launch it was £39.99 then down to £37, then again to £31 and now £27. There are so many Nintendo Switch third party controllers that we'd be here till Christmas to just list them all.

The best go-to third party Switch controller one can get is the 8Bitdo SF30 Pro Bluetooth SNES controller. I already own the official Pro Controller aside from the Joy-Cons and the Pokkén Controller (the original WiiU one) so can't justify getting another one.

A genuine Nintendo pro controller can be gotten for about $55 brand new.

Unless you need a crappy controller for your little brother/sister/child, there's no reason to get anything else.

They disappointed me by lying, calling this a tident controller first of all... (The N64 used the trident Controller design)

Then they used that awkward Sony stick layout.

Reviews so far say that this controller is trash, I do not recommend anyone to buy this thing. The PS stick layout is not a problem for me but without the build quality and quality components, this controller defeats the whole reason of getting a 3rd party controller which is getting close or decent quality for the price vs 1st party controllers.

I was just reading the reviews and the joysticks are off-center or something. That would bug the hell out of me.

yea, I am OCD about that kind of stuff so it would bug me also. The off center joysticks remind me of the days of InterAct and other 3rd party brands that made even MadKatz products seem like first party controllers in comparison.

the legal drinking age here in the US is 21, as some of you may know, but i think either it should be 18 or the age you're an adult should be 21.

  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and i know what you may be thinking, "why become an adult at 21? doesn't that mean that banging an 18 year old would be illegal?"
first of all, being in a relationship with someone who's 18 is technically ok, as long as it started when they were 18, but the age gap is still weird depending on how old you are. besides, the age of consent differs between different states

  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
also my reasoning for adult age being 21 is because the reason that's the drinking (and now smoking) age is because it "gives them more time to think rationally and not drive drunk"
so you should have that extra time to mature and think rationally before going to serve in the military or vote

  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
tl;dr the "adult" age and the legal drinking age (and voting age) here in the US should be the same

What about making kids wait till 18 or 21 to drive? And yea is messed up, you can join army and die for your country at age 18, but you can't drink alcohol or smoke a cig til 21, is ridiculous

If someone is in the military they should be allowed to smoke and drink at 18.... Would help drive recruitment lol

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
We all know they do and will anyways. I think laws prevented them only pushes them to illegally do it. Even tho if was legal, most prob wouldn't even bother. Not a big deal or risque if its legal, no fun.

also, i think the voting age should match the adult and drinking ages too, because by the logic of giving them time to mature and think rationally so they don't drive drunk, then they should also have that time to mature and think rationally so they can think for themselves
