I have an old Wii from around 2008 that i got at the time and till around a year and a half it was working flawlessly, but suddenly it stopped to play a few games while other ones worked perfectly fine. At first i thought it was the discs, but after testing them on the Wii U that was completely discarded, so i started searching for solutions as i imagined it would be a dirty laser problem. In a moment of brilliance i thought about making a homemade laser cleaner by putting a soft cloth into a disc and putting it on the Wii, and as you may have imagined it didn´t turned out as i wanted...... Since then, every time i put a disc on the console, the drive makes the typical working noises but they are a bit weaker than usual, then starts spinning but after a few seconds of spinning it sounds like the drive is trying to reset (though it never stops) and after three tries, it just stops. Today, after a year, i opened it myself just to see if i could identify something wrong or at least to see how it was behaving more directly, but unfortunately i dont really have the knowledge to know what is happening exactly.
If someone could identify the problem i would be very grateful, heres the video:
Ps: This happens with both Wii and GameCube games
Ps II: Sorry for the quality
