I am trying to get the WBFS file of Super Mario Galaxy to open in the "Games to add to WBFS Drive." I am on Windows XP and my desktop is VERY slow. Every time I browse and open or click and drag it into the box, the game doesn't show up in the right hand side. For a SPLIT second it shows a loading bar but it is way too fast to see. I had to use a slow motion video to see what it was. I will link a screenshot. In the photo it doesn't say how long or how much the process is, because it shows up and disapears way too fast to see. I successfully transfered Super Paper mario before, but it is only 0.40 GB. Is Mario Galaxy just too large that it takes forever to open in WBFS Manager? Or is there another problem?

Could be your PC or just a bad wbfs file. You could try testing your wbfs in Dolphin. If it worked, then it's your PC.
I also have considered testing the WBFS file in Dolphin. Tomorrow I will try it out. I am guessing it is my PC's problem. It is pretty old, but reliable.

First off quit using the outdated format WBFS drive format and Switch to fat32 and then use Wii Backup Manager http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/downloads.html

If I reformat my drive will the game already on it be deleted? What file type will the games be in if I use fat32 as the drive format? I will download the backup manager later.

I will have to figure out how to get the single game off of it before I format. It takes forever to download a complete .iso of a game on my slow PC.
I hear that, but formatting to WBFS was a ancient way for wii, FAT32 is the way to go. I'm not sure how to retrieve your games from the drive though.

Not reformat there is an app wbfs2fat32
I downloaded Wii Backup Manager. It worked instantly with no problems. WBFS manager was the problem, about the game not opening in the program. Now the final step is to see if the game will work in my wii. I am interested in the WBFS2fat32 application though. Is it just so I can open my drive on my PC without a special program like Wii Backup Manager? Because it tells me to format the drive when I try opening it, which I won't do if it deletes everything. I guess this thread is finished now because the problem was solved. Thank you everyone!!

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
