Hardware 3DS won't turn on, blue light flashes once

I have CFW on a N3DS and lost my homebrew and cia when trying to load freeshop.
So I have tried to reload homebrew channel through download play and after selecting “Switch the hb. title to the current app.” on Rosalina I then selected reboot.
Now when I press the power button the light flashes blue for a second and that's it.
Any ideas?

Your 3ds cant find boot.firm. Try booting without SD and report.

Won't boot with out SD either.
I took a backup of the SD card before changing things. I put this back and now it boots up.

had this same problem try plugging it in and holding power button if it still don't work all I can tell you its shorting out

Anyway, try different SD (fat32 formated) or newer/older luma.

If you mean the ribbon cable problem, that's not shorting out.

but it does not make sense because if you remove the cable entirely, it will still do the popping sound (his 3ds is not doing it).

yes I know this but I never remove the cable and what i told him to do worked for me
