Hacking [Tool] Website for watching most YouTube videos on the Switch

Hello everyone, I created a website on Google Sites that allows you to watch most YouTube videos on your Nintendo Switch. With the current tool I use, some music and things like that won't launch, but I plan to fix it very soon by simply making it use the proper YouTube embed.

Link

Keep in mind you must do this in the Facebook/Twitter login applet. Either navigate to Google Plus and share that link through it, or send it to yourself on Facebook.

Enjoy!
so how could you make all videos work? and can you make the box automatically put the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= appear so we dont need to type that everytime, rather i'd put the 11 character code for a specific video

Hey, thanks for the feedback everyone!

No problem! Happy to see it working. Just one thing: I watched a video, and when I serched for other and start it, the first one started to play. I think it's a browser problem, but it may be good to look at it and maybe say it in the main post.
Yeah, I noticed that. It's rather interesting, I guess the browser just caches the video on that page for some reason. The easy fix is simply clicking the title of the page at the top, and reloading it.

Yeah, to be honest I might work on that right now. Instead of loading the direct link, it'll load the https://www.youtube.com/embed/x page in an iframe, which will work with all videos. I just used this version because it was much easier and I was just testing it to start with.

And yeah, I'll make it so you don't even have to type the full link in, just the 11 character code. Sorry about that, I just didn't bother changing it from my PC implementation.

The website has been updated! Still use the link in the OP. All YouTube videos now work, you now only have to type in the 11 character ID, I added something cool to the player, and you no longer need to refresh the page to watch a second video. Thanks for the support guys!

haha nice thing that you read our ideas, and thanks for this. kind of sad that you have to make this because a company cannot make a youtube app.

Yeah it was no problem! Most of the fixes just came naturally by making it do a YouTube embed. It does kinda suck, tho.

My favourite part of my update is the Joy-Con! You can see it better here if you want. It looks cool!

Yeah you don't have to but that's the point. It's just a cool little addition!

It should work. Just type in the ID and it should come up.

It could be solved if you send the search via the URL and not javascript, right? This way, You'll allways refresh the site and clean the cache. Or maybe you can find some javascript function that refresh the cache.

It's actually completely fixed in the new update. You should check it out!
