So the bios checksum on the libretro docs site is wrong then?
Could you post the MD5 of your bios? To compare.
I just updated to the latest nightly, hope it fixes whatever issue I'm experiencing.

UPDATE: The PC core works now (same bio, folder structure and roms) so I'm hopeful that means whatever the issue was on my end, was fixed by the latest nightly.
Either that or I am just negated to play lynx games.

UPDATE 2: NO, scratch that, Not even the PC core is working. I loaded the ROM onto the HANDY core by mistake (not beetle) so it is an issue with the mednafen port then.
Cause WITHOUT A DOUBT the roms work on PC with my same bios file, same roms but on the handy core.
Nothing happens with the beetle one.
Is the core looking for the bios file outside of the system folder or something? Where do you guys keep it?

UPDATE 3: Forget EVERYTHING I previously said. (shame on you for not noticing before as well :rofl2:)
After some digging up I found out that this poor excuse of a core can't take NO-INTRO verified roms since it needs a header to launch.
Since I'm not planning to get rid of verified games for "hacked" ones. Screw the core.

Well it looks like you got to the bottom of it :P Just for giggles the MD5 for the Bios is FCD403DB69F54290B51035D82F835E7B :)

Sorry, I didn't try C64 games yet :( perhaps
@cucholix, @rioray or @ploggy may help you there :)
I cant seem to get C64 games to work either, D64 format (gets stuck at the basic loading screen)

Yep. I guess I'll have to keep confined to the PC for now. Hopefully the devs will catch up with main handy and remove the need for headers. (or the retroarch guys port over the handy core to the wii u)
The checksums match, BTW.

That would be great. What are the improvements of beetle over handy that made the guys chose it as the sole core to port (and keep)? AFAIK handy can run headered roms as well...
I don't know which Core is better than the other but I think the consensus is the Mednafen Cores perform better overall?

I tried typing "LOAD" then when I initiated it, it said to "PRESS PLAY ON TAPE" I've used vice64 on other consoles and I've never had to type anything, nor did it ask me to press play. I'm trying to play Zaxxon, which is a floppy disk game, which I've played before on vice64 on my old xbox. Everything was automatically done once I chose a game.

Could someone submit an issue to github regarding vice64 not autoloading a .crt game, or other file extensions as well? I'm glad to see I'm not the only one here with this issue. :-)

Hello!

I've played more than a few C64 games using Vice, and it was working without any problems. I'm using .d64 (floppy images), because .tap takes a really long time to load. The only problem I've encountered was with multi-disk games. I've tried running it with flip-files, but wasn't able to make it work. Anyways, standard, one-file games work just fine - played Paper boy, Burger time, Aztec challenge, Dizzy III, Bomb Jack etc.

Best regards,
Davor

Dafuq?
I stopped getting notifications from this thread, I missed 3 pages of comments O.o
Well, finally caught up to the latest issues haha.

Anyway, 3 more Wii U commits were made today by the one and only awesome @QuarkTheAwesome :P
This time it seems to be Cafe OS Clock implementation:
https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/commit/3a442af6be0371907c55a9e2de17e45d184def87

Seems to be like this is so that RetroArch on Wii U now properly displays the correct time in the upper right corner instead of being stuck at 23:59.

Is there any easy way to "remap" controllers? Wii U gamepad seems to just automatically map into Port 0 and anything else comes after it; But I'd love to use RetroArch with classic controller etc. - Is there some easy button combination or something for this?

That is so weird. I low Zaxxon is a floppy game, cause a close friend of mine had a C64 when we were kids, and we played that one alot.

The romset I have is the "no-intro" romset. Do I need to batch convert this entire romset to .d64? Do I have an incorrect romset? Any hints on "elsewhere" I should be obtaining the C64 romset from?

Thanks for any additional help on this!

Just tested the latest nightlies - main menu indeed displays the proper time and a date. I played Picture Puzzle for Neo Geo Pocket Color, and it successfully recognized the date in game as January 30!

@QuarkTheAwesome is the most awesome.
