I mean, it would be "nice" if youtubers made a comment about NAND backups before their tutorials but at the end of the day is not their responsability. We are the ones that are modding our consoles and should know what that comes with.

If you need to be reminded about making a backup everytime, then you probably shouldnt do anything to your console.

While this makes sense, there is a certain, unspoken, responsibility when making these types of tutorials. At least, to give the viewers as much info and as many options as possible.

You're using logic, yes, but the masses aren't going to know any better. Plus, kids probably watch these videos. 'Tough' is the easy thing to say.

The point of this thread is that info should be mentioned amongst all the 'excitement' of slapping some Pokemon game on the Switch via HBL. It's not some type of debate, but a simple courtesy for the viewers that trust these YouTubers.

Say what you want about your favorite Youtuber, but Youtubers don't know shit when it comes to any console-wise modification, at all.

Some them honestly try. There's just too many changes to keep making new videos. That's why I never made any for my guides. It's enough work keeping up with the changes in text form.

A little sticky on the video to correct such changes would be well appreciated, which some never do.
I have never bricked a console following a Youtube video but that's because I don't, but if I did I would appreciate some kind of ''in your face'' info before starting, like warning the user of another Youtube video of the same Youtuber with a much less complicated procedure.

i think it’s better just to not video guides in general as stuff can develop and evolve so rapidly sometimes. never wanna use outdated stuff if you don’t have to

Never undestood this.

You literally have to read the title or see the date. Like, if it says "Hack for 4.0.1" or something like that, you know is outdated.

When i hacked my friend's Wii U i knew i didnt have to look for old guides and search for the current firmware version. Its common sense.

I think youtube videos are great for noobs like i was at the time. Not being a dumb person and look for the latest guide is just logic.

Some guy bricked his switch (sidenote: it matched his keyboard at least ) and it gave him a purple screen. He didn't backup. Here's the thread:https://gbatemp.net/threads/permanent-violet-screen-on-switch.503909/
So many threads about backups without any mention of how to restore

As you can see if you need to restore the nand ther are already tools among the users that they sure help you out in case you need it , even the first brick of the end user of the forum was able to recover without a backup

@Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.

the legal drinking age here in the US is 21, as some of you may know, but i think either it should be 18 or the age you're an adult should be 21.

and i know what you may be thinking, "why become an adult at 21? doesn't that mean that banging an 18 year old would be illegal?"
first of all, being in a relationship with someone who's 18 is technically ok, as long as it started when they were 18, but the age gap is still weird depending on how old you are. besides, the age of consent differs between different states
