For those of you using Citra (or other emulator) to play, you can activate the DLC content by changing the following offset:

22349: 00 to 08

Would be great to add this to the save editor as well so people can easily change it without having to use a hex editor.

I am not 100% sure if this is the only thing that needs to be changed. I know 35B74 being changed from 00 to 01 is strictly for multiplayer use, so technically it is not necessary to change. There were other offsets I noticed that were different when comparing a DLC save with a non-DLC save, however, I am not sure if they are needed or just the differences between US and EU as one save I used was US and the other EU. I will list them below anyways, but I am currently testing to see what each of them actually does.

1FF70-1FF77: B68537729D83DB9A to DA1264E8BAC41345
31360-31363: 00000000 to 9341326D
3137C-3137F: 00000000 to FFED9B6C
31381: 00 to 01

Hope this helps and remember to have fun!

I think you have to actually buy the DLC since the DLC some files you need to install through eShop.
the DLC is tiny and only adds a little bit of data to auto-flip a few values marking DLC as active (the Japanese version had everything by default. Only the localized versions have it split as DLC). If you start a DLC save on one 3ds then transfer the exported save to another and import it there, you can play the DLC features fine even if the second 3DS doesn't have DLC.

I use Citra, if someone can tell me what to change and where to unlock DLC it would help a lot.

Just flipping some things from 00 to 08 won't do it.
That's for mission states btw and a lot in the file.
There's also 1 byte that changes from 00 to 01 with DLC which is just for version representation.
You need to actually update the first 4 bytes, which are a checksum and are checked if they match with dlc or not.

I'm waiting for he item editor to return…
the online save editor already has this and is easy to use. A graphical interface is far more complicated to code than a few AR codes, though the interface lets all the offsets be handled automatically.

The game itself hasn't changed, so you can always swap the old plugin with item editor in, use it, then swap the plugin back.

Supply a working link please.
The only "online editor"-looking link I've seen doesn't work.

Where can I find this plugin, all the older versions' links have been removed.

Please try looking through a few pages of comments before giving up. This was literally on the previous page...

Sadly I cant seem to find my 2.1 version of Nanquitas' plugin. Someone else may have it still, and/or you could simply request it in that thread (but it really doesn't do much the online editor can't).

Ah I see, I think she was talking about the save editor. ;)

Btw, @that girl , the plugin also allow you to edit the loot - aka, create any object you'd like to get:

Plus, I think that it might be easier to use than a save editor (runtime edit, no need to transfer files).

That link was broken last time I used it. * you for assuming I didn't look.

It redirects to a new page now, though, at a .ga website… looks to be the save editor, though.

What…? Doesn't that require haking the ROM to edit loot? I don't have that much space left on my SD card, and I'm pretty sure what monsters drop what items is *not* located in the save data…

I only assumed because the link does indeed work. there were other links very early in this thread (and a few in other threads) to older versions of the online save editor that did not have inventory/storage editing.

it requires custom firmware to run a NTR plugin (usually for cheats), not rom editing. We assumed when you said 'item editing' you meant inventory items, not changing monster loot lists - which would indeed involve at least modifying the ASM/machine code in RAM, if not ROM editing.

The loot editor of the plugin edit the item you'll get when you'll open the bag.
The item must be valid (aka ID existing in the game), you can't create a completely new object.

Except for that you can get almost anything (weapons, tools, consumables etc).
It's the best way to get the equipment you want first, then use the Item Editor of the plugin to put your custom stats / effects on them.
