I'm not to sure about this now. 3ds-flashcards just emailed me and said that they won't get the OS until after the pro arrives.

Xecuter SX OS will come out on 15th of June, we will get them from TX on that day or one later later, then we will send SX OS to you in the firstly We will just E-mail you it, no need for Shipping.

Edit: I'm not sure how to post the image but their exact words in the reply to my email were "OS will arrived later after the SX Pro, currently the TX doesnt give them to us."

This is what i got yesterday when asking Xecuter about the SX OS Realease , it seems we need some luck to get SX OS before this ( but i could be wrong it can be faster who knows )

Reviewers...really they should be done with the testing phase of this. Just a big commit to Atmosphere for mitm layeredFS so maybe Atmosphere alpha will be out with backup loading before they have completed their late testing

Nah, the hunger for youtube views is too much. Right now, one could record the unboxing and do a practical 2 minutes demonstration and would get a shit ton of views.

There's 0 signals that anyone other than @garyopa has the device on hands. The reviewers do have the device yet.

We still have a lot to wait boys. It would be really nice if SXOS unlocked for us early tho.

Already got our SX dongle 2 days ago, full set of BBB releases and just waiting on the licences to go live.

Well that sucks, i wouldn't be surprised with a bit of a PR backlash.

They said multiple times June 15th. On announcing a product you don't announce the date that you'll ship to the reseller, you announce the date that it's available to the public.

Imagine if Nintendo did that. The Nintendo Switch was released on March 3rd, 2017. Imagine if on that day "oh that's the day that we begin shipping to the resellers, it will be available shortly after".
It would be disastrous because it's leading people in error. People would go to the stores to pick up their preorder and be disappointed that the product isn't there at the said date.
Some of them (maybe the majority of them, people don't like being called idiots) would cancel their preorder on the spot due to the bitterness.

I don't mind waiting a couple of days more, but i am sure that many people won't like receiving these news.

If 15th June is the release day, they should send the keys to the resellers and make SXOS available. Even the resellers aren't accepting new orders and some of them jacked the prices too high to prevent new orders, they are already with full hands with what they have.

They did their objective. They "sold out" of SX Pro. The demand is there and even TX is struggling to send everything on time. Those that by now didn't order SXPro won't be dissuaded by the release of SXOS.

I think the problem isn't TX, but people not having the right expectations. There is a big difference between billion dollar corporations and a small chinese grey goods seller. Delays and miscommunication are par for the course.

Sure, delays can happen, but what about lack of communication? Why isn't TX making an official statement? They should at least post an update of what's going on.

- What is official SX OS release date as of right now? Stores specalute dates "in between", but TX should be able to tell us exact date. Release is entirely up to them, so...
- Why reviewers who received their dongles still can't download OS?
- Why do we even have to wait for reviewers? What's the point? Or maybe something has changed and we don't wave to?

SX Pro customers paid more, I'm pretty sure they said early on that SX OS would be held back slightly to allow SX Pro to be delivered.

Yes, but they wasn't expecting a delay when they said it. Reviewers were supposed to receive their sets much earlier.

And to be honest, holding OS release is pretty uncool. We have to wait because some people paid more... Even if we get our keys/licences now, would Pro buyers really feel bad? What's the difference for them if we get our keys earlier? Their date still doesn't change.

I can't even imagine this exact situation anywhere else.
"Yes, uhmm, we know you have bought Ford Focus, yes, it's available now, in fact your model is right there, but we can't give it to you yet, because there's a delay in Ford Fusion factory, and Fusion buyers paid more, so..."

Yep. It doesn't make sense to me why they are holding the OS. Of course that the physical dongle has to go though shipping and such, it is expected. SXOS is the payload that they have ready to go (because the SXPro has that exact payload pre-flashed) and the license codes.

Just send the emails and put the payload on the website. It can even make MORE sales of they release today, at the pinnacle of the hype.

The 15th isn't over yet, who knows... They might surprise us. But I'm not hoping for anything
