Like i said, i was using autorcm in the past 2 till i switched over the a reed switch. Best thing i did so far with the system, i would advise everybody to do that or a button
I've seen a lot of various issues people have had which has kind of put me off tbh. I may use it at some point, but I'm going to hold out as long as I can.
I hate to say it, but AutoRCM just sounds better than using a stupid dongle.
Why would you hate to say it? 99.9% of people who use auto RCM have no problem with it, the .01% don't read and either turn their switch off normally and the battery drains or they have no idea what it actually does and freak out when their switch won't turn on with the power button anymore.
It's perfectly safe and there's 2 people I've seen now spreading info that it's dangerous and probably have never even used it themselves
How do you charge your Switch with AutoRCM enabled? Using your second option, can you charge it while off if you had it plugged in prior to turning off?Okay after 40+ switch mods
All CFW drain with Autorcm on - Its due to power off not turning off completely so your switch will have a black screen but is in fact on
You have to ways to defeat this:
1) Hold power and go into sleep mode - This is quickest way and works perfect for me on Hekate 4.2 with 6.01 switches - 5% battery drain every 24 hours
2) Power off like normal - Power on and hold - (hekate) and wait for boot / options - Go to power off and power off
These methods have worked for me and Autorcm is what it is - You just have to kbnow how to use it

I always charge it while its on unless it dies completely. If it dies completely I first try holding power for 12-15 seconds then charging. If that don't work I have to disable rcm charge then enable rcm.
I would have to assume that the Switch will work without a battery when plugged into the wall? Otherwise how the heck do you accomplish unsetting RCM if it won't turn on?
Honestly I love RCM and would use it on all my switches - All they need to fix is the battery drain while black screened and battery dying and cant charge without disabling RCM first witch only has happened to me on a couple units. Don't know if these are fixable but once you know how it works / doesn't work then it's pretty easy and so worth it.

I heard rumblings last week that we are extremely close to a coldboot solution and that in fact Xecuter had a solution in their possession which would make autoRCM obsolete. But if they release it, they do themselves out of money for their dongle. But we shall see...it may be that someone else leaks it in the coming weeks. I like the principal of autoRCM, just not all the fuckery involved in fixing the battery issues.
But you still need the dongle (if no pc, phone, internal modship) to inject the payload afaik...I hate to say it, but AutoRCM just sounds better than using a stupid dongle.
Yes , shutting down with charger or dock connected PRIOR... will charge the switchHow do you charge your Switch with AutoRCM enabled? Using your second option, can you charge it while off if you had it plugged in prior to turning off?
Are you able to elaborate a little more on this or is that pretty much everything you heard ?
Here's the lesson to learn from this:
Do.
Not.
Ever.
Use.
AutoRCM.
EVER!!!
I have my hacked Switch in the dock at home atm charging, and if I can get it to boot into RCM and get into Horizon, I should be fine, but unfortunately, if TegraRCMSmash wants to keep being a colossal PITA, I may have to take apart BOTH of my Switches, swap the batteries, and cook the dead battery with Darth Sidious' Force Lightning, because it's painful to not take part in some of these updates and to be afraid that what may be the portable system to end all portable systems when hacked is giving me the middle finger because of a headache-inducing flaw where the rate at which the battery will charge, if it even charges at all, is dependent upon functions built into the OS, and not anything like Qualcomm's QuickCharge (or whatever the standard is called) function.
You fail son...
If using a dongle, autorcm is advised against for this reason as without the exploit (fusee) triggering after shutdown (the mini power-on), which is needed to correctly shut down the system.
People who say autoRCM is dangerous need a poke in the eye.
Not dangerous.
And only an inconvenience at the very worst even if you are stupid.
