Hacking CBHC Mod - ColdBoot HaxChi CFW mod

Here's a quick little guide on how you can do it yourself

• have mingw and all of that compiley stuff installed
• run

  git clone https://github.com/iAqua/CBHC.git

  in cmd, btw this is just panther666's source code for now, git clone it while it's the same as his.
• make your menu changes in haxchi > dsrom > cbhc_menu > main.c
• save and compile using the script for compilation provided

Hey @iAqua any chance you could maybe explain what "all of that compiley stuff" is? I'm really interested in creating my own menu, but at the same time, not really sure what to use other than the mingw (unless that's all I need?) I'm fairly confident I can figure the rest out on my own. I just want to make sure I'm using safe programs

I think it would be good to format wi u and start from scratch.
If i do so, whill games on my hdd still work? Will the saves still be useable?
Is it possible to back up my mii's, or do i have to recreate them? Do i have to uninstall cbhc first or is it save to directly format wii?

To keep things simple: is there a TuT on formating the wii u and get everithing back onto the clean wii u?

Or is there a tidy up tool?

Because i have also problems with installing stuff via wup installer. So i think my wii u is "dirty" and needs to ve cleaned

If you format without first uninstalling CBHC youll brick and if you dont have a nand backup you have no way to repair

I'm having trouble making my own CBHC mod, I'd like to swap holding A for loadiine for holding A to launch tcpgecko, and instead of holding X to launch ftpiiu, make holding X instead launch SDcafiine. While keeping all the other things here the same. Can anyone help me build it like that? I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Fantastic mod as it creates the ultimate implementation of CBHC as that auto Padcon is a great feature although it would be nice to have it trigger by clicking both L/R sticks instead of just the one but either way much better than having to load it or hotkey each time.

Can this be adjusted so that launching Wii U System Menu + Cafiine is an option just like Wii U System Menu + Padcon? Beyond that, is it possibley to remap what holding A or X does. You have A autolaunch Loadiine, could holding A be done to instad launche the Wii U System Menu + Padcon option? I thought that maybe just renaming padcon to loadiine_gx2.elf inside the loadiine_gx2 folder in the Wiiu/apps folder, but that errors out, my gut says because it's not launching Haxchi when done this way. Furthermore, if that System Menu + Cafiine option could be implemented, could that also be mapped to being an auto launch if you hold X instead of ftpiiu? I would really love it if these could happen.

Edit: nevermind found pretty much exactly what I was looking for, this version of a CBHC mod: https://gamebanana.com/threads/210597 if I hold R on boot, it launches the system menu with SDcafiine properly enabled. And while Padcon alone wasn't an option, there was a custom option if you hold the d-pad down, putting padcon.elf in that folder and renaming it to custom.elf, does indeed work just as I need it to.
