Making valid Switch certificates isn't possible without the private key though iirc. lol. So yea, that's BS
Some people were postulating that StargateNX stumbled upon either the key or some other way of regenerating certificates. That or they're sitting on enough certificate to last them their subscription service.

It's not some guys gdrive, fyi; it is CDN access using third party certificates.
Lol no, it's literally a gdrive, I know a reviewer and he noted there was content missing that is on the CDN that isn't on this

named removed for privacy

The subscriptions are likely used to fund purchasing eShop content once per item, so people can download without burning certs.

If anyone should be banned GaryOPA should be the one!... why because he is mainly one who promote this on his site - connection between gbatemp and him should be ended. I know that it is his site but promoting his post even if it is about SX OS on front page could give problems with nintendo. I called him in my in my one post if he is worried that Nintendo lawiers contact him due to promote this paild piracy service on site... I do not care about who is paying to him to promote stuff, but I really do not wanna here person is connected to this Stargate shit.

I am not agaist SX OS, have one and this time there is difference beetween that lot of people called TX as thieves... For Gary reading posts on his site is sth good and cool to pay for stealed products.

And I wish that Nintendo destroy this idiotic service Stargate shit.

What gary does on his site is his business. Its his site. His site is not this site. From what i seen he has done nothing against the gbatemp rules. If TX steals code oh well. That what happens when you post source. You can choose not to buy it. I have not bought any switch hacking stuff and i sure wont buy a license to use a hack tool.

Now if there was a actual flash cart able to mimic a real cart and change its security on the fly id think about buying that. Im personally waiting for the hacks to be as good as on wii and wii U. When we have a game that boots cfw without RCM then im in. One day we will have that kind of access. I actually like to buy physical carts (as i am also a collector and want to build my switch library.) Im interested in .nsp for the eshop only games. Thats what achive mostly.

will we though? Nintendo has upped the security 1000 fold since the wii, wiiu and ds scene, why do you think there isn't a switch flash cart already? nintendo upped the security, that's why, the only reason we have as much access as we do is because nvidia messed up

The security is much better yes. Eventually someone is gonna find software holes. Its just gonna take time. Could take 5 more years. The things is noobs dont want to wait. they have to have their piracy when the console is new. I can wait because im gonna keep my switch just like i kept every other console.

A flash cart will probably never happen as its a legacy thing. Since we have a sd card its not really needed. Just like the non existent wii U mod chip

I do not know if it is agaist rules... but I do not know for sure, but his posts was on main page - and he as I remember has privileges as a mod here... but now he is as regular user (not know if for sure meybe I am wrong). But liked his site since there was infos about Fast's hacks for WiiU even there wasn't really full exposure on main page about it. I do not care really that mostly there is copy paste of articles form other sites. But acting as he is doing now it is very low... promoting illegal stuff could potentially wipe his ass and site by Nintendo. And connecting hip as part of gbatemp community is stupid and risky. I think ban him will be good idea... I do not wanna be connected with people like he is as part of this community.

Interestingly, the manual has been updated (without changing the version number) to omit the CDN mention.

Don't you still need title keys or some shit for CDNSP, etc? That app wasn't just instant full access. You needed nutdb?

How do you think the stashes are accessed updated? they get the games directly from the cdn, it's just alot harder to access now as you require an edge token to be generated every 24 hours along with your cert. CDNSP as long as the title keys were known we could asses the games, even then we could still get the preloads, nothing changed except how easy it is to access

The security is much better yes. Eventually someone is gonna find software holes. Its just gonna take time. Could take 5 more years. There are 0 day exploits that are known to whose who found them, coldboot/warmboot is only a dream at this point and we might not even get there, alot of stuff has changed, why do you think 6.2 and 7.0 were a big deal, they've changed how it works. Gamecart is encrypted, keys are encrypted, nintendo isn't just going to let us walk over their console willy nilly, even towards the end of it's life span, remember last year the wiiu got an update... that broke coldboot on eur wiius, they can still do stuff like that.

Coming back to a flashcart, if anyone could pull it off, it's TX because of how they do their xci loading, but that is a different story and a different kettle of fish

Interestingly, the manual has been updated (without changing the version number) to omit the CDN mention.

That's awfully suspicious

I thought these things were mutually exclusive, with the claims being thrown around. I was never under the impression as a tester that they HACKED THE CDN and were able to *literally* get every game on the eShop. I just read the language as "this is CDNSP but it still works and it downloads to your Switch straight from the CDN."

Interestingly though, their language did indeed change. Suspicious indeed. I'm just still waiting on proof from this guy:

they other way they get games from the cdn is buy > dump > upload

Gotcha. So is there proof that it's "literally a gdrive" or "just an FTPS server" besides missing titles?

Just wondering, since the word "proof" is being thrown around a lot, and missing ARK isn't exactly proof that games aren't being dl'd from Nintendo.

Missing titles is a big giveaway, as if it was Nintendo's CDN there wouldn't be anything missing, also it's just a log in to their server which most likely uses the nut function and gdrive stash

Can anyone search for some titles that aren't in well known stashes/nutdb? I'm not part of any of those circles, so I have no idea where to look. Basically: any games that only Stargate has? Can anyone do traffic dumps to see where the files are coming from? Just report their server if it's a gdrive/FTPS!

Gary never had any sort of staff responsibility on our site.
Just like any other member he writes articles in the user-submitted news area, if they are properly formatted and front page worthy we promote his threads to the front page.
Hope this clears things up?

I appreciate the discussion in this thread, please let us not derail. StargateNX is a highly illegal tool so please remember not to post any links to that service and do not make its promotion. We believe it would be useless to completely ban the word from our forums because people will hear about it some other way. But see what people have said in this thread :
Don't subscribe. It's a waste of money that will very likely get taken down in no time with a high risk for yourself aswell since they have to save your payment infos.
That service is extremely bullshit. You can just google the same thing and get it for free like a civilized pirate instead of paying 25 bucks MONTHLY for the same thing, except somewhere deep in China, ran by a noname that has your payment info. This is even worse beginner-bait than Ace3DS's cracked SXOS clone.
etc.

Yeah, again, I don't remember them saying "we hacked the CDN and you can get every single title that is on the eShop." I could be wrong? But I read the PDF, and they never said anything like that when giving me the reviewer license. I was always under the impression that the available library seemed very much like CDNSP + nutdb... but on the Switch itself.

If they are using their own service possibly, but its more likely just a public stash they have cloned, I would but I don't have a sx license to try XD

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
