I know this has probably been asked but is a new save necessary for this?
I actually wasn't that far in so I decided to start over sorry if i wasted your time.iirc, it's recommended to make a new save. i think i remember reading that if you play this on an old save that already has supports done, the edits made to the support tables to make space for the new supports mess up vanilla-game saves because pointers in the save no longer point to the correct places. one result of this that i can think of is your completed supports getting swapped around - so two characters who were previously married could end up with different spouses, stuff like that. ;^^
Just put the folder with your game's id title in the luma folder on you're SD card and make sure to have patching enabled in the menu.are there any guides to do this for Luma?
which folder? the mod folder into the luma title folder?Just put the folder with your game's id title in the luma folder on you're SD card and make sure to have patching enabled in the menu.
Yeah, done that. It's finally working. You get the mod folder from the Gay fates zip in the folder called luma version. Then one you pick is the title of id of you're game you can either find out from something like FBI on you're 3ds/2ds system or by checking the region and game list txt file and matching it with what yours is for example 0004000000179800 is the Fates Special Edition USA. Inside the luma folder on the root of your sd card you put the mod in the title folder. Maker sure game patching is enabled in the luma menu, to do this hold select while booting your 3ds/2ds end enable it.
I'm not super knowledgeable about the stuff as I haven't tried every thing possible while not fully understanding things that worked for me and I'm using a USA version but I couldn't get the cheat plugin to work for my self although I may have been doing something wrong. For me what works was changing the gender of the support with with a hex editor (I changed Silas to female), from what I've heard and tried it has to before you advance to s+ with them and you can't change the avatar/corrin without issues. I changed their gender back after did it and made sure I had the prologues for the kids, I didn't even complete them until to after I changed silas back to male and had no issues. Then you can just complete the prologues and the kids should recognize their parents and siblings. If you use the unlock all prologues thing you can just get them that way but you have to use something to make them recognize the siblings and probably the parents that they aren't based around for example t getting Kana to recognizing Silas. FEFTwilder works and while it uses hex editing to do so it save based making it easier from what i can tell. I have basic idea of how to use FEFTwilder for that which just involves making sure the children have same parents but I don't really know it for each parent but you should be able to find out the parents be looks at their perspective kids. I kinda messed around with things even when it seemed work both due to misconceptions i had and curiosity that may have actually made work without realizing though.I always want to try this hack out but im a bit confused regarding the children stuff.I have the EUR copy of the Fates Special edition, the one with all the route in the cartridge. But im a bit confused regarding the children stuff. Becouse im not very good with code stuff, i read there is even a cheat code solution but is i read correctly is only for the USA version. Can somebody clear my mind, because im a bit confused.
Yes, but it takes a few more steps because lumas in-game patching isnt an option. For directions on how see this guide: https://pastebin.com/pwmVKDXM.Does this work for citra two

Did you patch the gamedata.bin.lz located in the romfs\gamedata folder?
Did you decompress the gamedata.bin.lz with a tool like batchlz77 or FEAT before applying the patch?
if so, did you recompress the gamedata.bin.lz after applying the patch?
Can someone make a tutorial of how to di that on citra it would make it much easyer
