Hardware How much is a PlayStation 4 Pro on 3.70 worth?

Looking to sell my PS4 Pro on firmware 3.70 because I am banking on the PS5 supporting PS4 titles.

Just wanted to get an idea on what a good price might be? I actually have another PS4 Pro on 6.50 too.

Debating on which to sell as I think it might be better to keep the 3.70 just in case no PS4 BC and sell the 6.50 as the 3.70 value will only go up.

Thoughts?

In UK <=5.05 pros sell for £300-350 GBP...

Whereas new sealed old stock pros are £250 (CUH-7002B)...

You can't change the hard-drive on 3.70 because there was never a full install 3.70 firmware ever released as far as I know.

What do you think the chance is that the PS5 will play PS4 games too?

Kinda depends on supply and demand, the pro can go for around up to like $450 USD, kinda depends on who is willing to pay for it, but it is not hard to sell.

No idea though, suck if someone gives you misleading information, depends on what you want to do with those two PS4, play online or stay at 3.70, obviously, the lower firmware has a higher value.

Not that many TBH. PS4 emulated might even more be tightly secured than the existing hackable hardware (we know 6.51 is still hacked in private).

PS4 EOL won’t be for years until after PS5 releases, and then if we are lucky we will see a new hack making a huge library of games available, but that exploit may still be relevant to PS5, so again may not release.

If Sony cuts the price of the PS4 when PS5 comes out then the second hand value will drop.

If PS5 doesn’t play PS4 games, then the price of the PS4 will remain reasonably high as it’s still relevant.

Either way you asked about the chances PS5 can play PS4: no one knows.

Right now PS4’s on 5.05 are golden, might be worth selling one now depending if you want PSN and new games or 5.05 backups and homebrew.

Its way too early to be selling a ps4 for a ps5, I mean as of now its like selling something over a rumor. Sure its coming in the future but we don't know anything about it officially. The only hope for ps5 official news is E3 or maybe Sony's Direct Stream don't get false hype theories from youtubers or any type of click-bait media.

i would rather save money for a good pc, nowdays there aren't any exclusive worth to buy a console anymore,(All except Nintendo's console.) everythings run smoother on PC mustard race.

Don't forget that games are far cheaper and online free.

A pro is only worth more at this time. When a ps5 launches it value will be diminished plus in the future they're will be a newer exploit that works on all firmwares like always happens with every system and by then it value will be less then half what it is now. So if you're trying to sell it for its value you would have to sell it now because value will only be going down instead of up.

Perhaps he meant that someone had written some 6.51 string on twitter, but we should not forget that it was a random string that was not confirmed by anyone trusted.

it is important to read the facts So, as I thought, no official confirmation kernel exploit for 6.51 ... which does not confirm anything, but nothing refutes ... so wait we have a lot of time.

MrNiato is trustworthy, but as I wrote, he never confirmed anything ... since he has a dev kit, it can't be considered a kernel exploit.
