are you able to mirage pokemon from pokemon emerald (using this) onto pokemon platnium which would be running on TWiLight Menu++?

(pokemon emerald doesn't work on gba runner on twlight menu even with sram patch)

You can probably use PKHeX to accomplish this.

I have post in the wrong discussion before so here im again with the same problem. I have got this problem even after try out the ultimate inject.

"I have try to load Super Mario All Stars (mostly for convinience to not have to install 4 games seperatly) for the SNES. All go during the process of the .cia creation, the problem starts when i install the game. All is ok, but when i launch i get an error "exception occurred". Is becouse of the game or the SNES injector have problem? I inject the game by using the VC SNES emulator."

I have re download the program and i still get the same problem. This time doh the game load the Nintendo 3DS boot screen before crash the game and force me to a hard reset.

I was using the NSUI v0.26.

The GBA game "Drill Dozer" (U) doesn't save. Then I tried to create a new .cia changing the "ROM save type", but the NSUI only shows "(None)" as an option.

I'm now trying the Ultimate GBA VC Injector to see if the new .cia saves the game.

Thank you!

@Asdolo

Is there a way to turn the borders on in the VirtuaNES for 3DS injection method when in game?

On multiple games i have used a custom image for the borders and it doesn't show up when im playing the cia on my 3ds.

The normal preset borders DO work.

using v27

Also, is there a thread somewhere showing how to add your other injectors into NSUI?

I see you have a separate Web Browser inject program, and a couple others.

NSUI has these, but are greyed out.

Thank you for your work Asdolo!!!

Ooops, sorry for double posting, but this is the actual injector I use, so here's a copy of my original post:

Hi guys, I'm having a great time injecting VC games, and so far everything is working well. I do have one question about GBA games. It is well known that a lot of early GBA games were oversaturated to compensate for the first GBA screen.

My question is, does the VC accounts for that automatically when running on the 3DS? I use the option "no dark filter" when converting the rom, but if I understand correctly, this is different than the oversaturation problem in GBA games. When the advanced SP was release, did it account automatically for early games by detecting the date or something like it?

Otherwise, I guess color restoration patches are the only option to get accurate colors for old GBA games on 3DS?

Thank you!

You're absolutely right : i wish there was a way to recreate colors on vc. Some games are fine to play, but others are ugly (Golden Sun for example). An example here (they achieve to do a shader on retroarch to have this true colors) :

Is there perhaps a way to patch the rom with one of these filters through retroarch or some other program? Aside from just 3DS VC, this would be great for playing GBA roms on Wii or DSi.

Hey, my bad. Sorry for that.. :(
My previous visits to that site didn't hit me before with EXE. On my last visit, Bitdefender picked up and blocked Trojan.GenericKD.31513277. Damn. :|

The reason why that specific site was mentioned is that it's one of the last few places that host a slew of GBA roms. To get their games in ZIP archives, you have to choose:
  • More Options → Browser download (slowest)
Everywhere else I've seen has blocked off or pulled all Nintendo published titles. This happened at the time when:
Another one that's been pretty good is the site with a cartoony, red demon mascot. Except for Nintendo titles, theirs can be acquired by unboxing:
  • Use download accelerator and get recommended offers
***

It's strange your GBA VC injections are not working. From my end, I've tried replicating that error by purposely corrupting a rom copy of Pokemon - FireRed with various hex edits, such as deleting blocks of data and filling in garbage values. NSUI will inject a bad rom dump so long as the header is mostly intact. Injecting a fake file renamed as a *.gba will crash the program.
Ah yes, those kinds of sites. I never understood those sites. If you're gonna host the ROM anyways, why try to push malware? It's just plain stupid! Thankfully, I have a different source for my ROMs. One that doesn't push malware.

I'm having a super weird issue. I'm trying to inject Pokemon rom hacks and everything is working fine except the name is incorrect. I'm specifying the name in NSUI to be "Pokemon: Gaia Version" in both the short and long name fields. After exporting and installing, the name is correct on the data management screen and when unwrapping the gift, but the actual title on the home screen is "Pokemon: FireRed Version". I'm assuming there's some issue with the "Long Name" being applied since the tooltip says that's what appears on the homescreen. I tried a bunch of other rom hacks thinking it might be some fluke with just Pokemon Gaia but every single one of them has the same issue. Everything else is fine like the custom icon/banner, the games even run, it's just the name being wrong on the home screen. I feel like I'm missing something insanely obvious because (from what I can see on Google) nobody else has this issue, or even anything similar. I went through all the settings to make sure I wasn't missing some kind of "Auto-Apply name from rom metadata" option but I couldn't find anything. Am I just dumb?? I can't post a pic of my settings since I'm a new forum member but I can try and send it over PM if anyone wants to check it and make sure I'm not missing something obvious.

@AvesAvi, clink on the Virtual Console banner found below the purple cartridge within the CIA banner section. For official looking font, use SCE-PS3 Rodin LATIN.
Thank you SO much you are seriously my hero. I thought that was just a preview image and had no idea you could click on it. I tried downloading and using SCE-PS3 Rodin LATIN but it says only TrueType fonts are supported and that it isn't a TrueType font. The font doesn't really bother me though I won't notice it anyways probably. I'm just happy the names are gonna be correct now!!!!

Edit: I just had to restart and the error went away. Thank you again so much for helping!!!! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure this out.

I think I had already asked about this some time ago but I try again.
I injected a modified GBC Pokemon rom (crystal) and it runs fine. However the X button doesn't open the Start Menu. When I play official virtual console Pokemon game the X and Y buttons correspond to Start and Select. Is there a way to have the same with VC Injector?

Is NSUI supposed to work with Game Gear? I have it downloaded, and there's a Game Gear option, but It throws an error trying to open the inject editor screen.

I'm running it with Wine under Linux, so that's probably what's causing the problem. GBA VC injections work perfectly, though.
