Hi everyone,
I've been trying to mod Zelda BotW (yes, the Linkle mod) but it doesn't seem to work. All older tutorials point that I should be booting Hekate CTCaer mod and picking the LayeredFS boot option, but there's no such option anymore apparently... In any case, even if I boot up the Switch using the regular CFW option and try and boot the game, I have a black screen. I tried removing the mod and starting the game and it works fine. I got to save it after leaving the cave you start in, tried putting the mod back on and now the game boots up, but if I try loading my save it keeps loading forever.
Any tips on how to get this to work? I'm on fw 6.2.
EDIT: nevermind, apparently installing the updates fixes this.
as someone who has used both since launch, there is no reason you shouldn't be using atmosphere, at this point in sxos' life the only things it does better than atmosphere is pirating games and accessing cheats. sometimes someone will release or share cheats that dont seem to load on atmosphere so i load them on sxos fine, sometimes i want to play a game that got leaked early, ill use sxos to play it because you dont need an alternate program installed to use stealth mode (i believe its called Incognito on AMS) and I can run the xci with sxos with no issues. and while Edizon is great for being able to use cheats on ams (because really its the only option) its quicker and more fluid on sxos and from what ive seen, sxos doesnt seem to have a filesize limit for cheats like edizon loading does. but general use i find AMS safer (if you have balls of steel like i do and dont play offline), things get updated faster, there are more options in general for customizing your switch, programs are designed more for ams like emuiibo which allows you to emulate amiibo bin files in game with a plugin which can only be loaded on ams. sxos may be fairly efficient and simple but AMS is just better in almost every aspect, its like iOS and Android (im going to get some hate for this comparison) iOS does a few things better or in a class of its own for the specific things, first glance is super easy to figure out, essentially stupid proof. But if you want the better overall experience that only gets better over time with better updates and features and FAR more options for how YOU want your device, you go Android. This is the best way I can explain it, in simplest termsI've been using SX OS since its release. Is there any reason I should switch over to Atmosphere?

thanks a lot for the detailed answer. I use the SX OS cheats all the time, so it seems like I should stay with SX OS since I do indeed see many people complaining that the cheast posted don't wo. While I definitely can see how Atmosphere is a lot more customizable, the only homebrew apps I use are checkpoint and nxtmp which both work on SX OS right now. I already got banned so things like onlineplay and stealthmode matter no more lolas someone who has used both since launch, there is no reason you shouldn't be using atmosphere, at this point in sxos' life the only things it does better than atmosphere is pirating games and accessing cheats. sometimes someone will release or share cheats that dont seem to load on atmosphere so i load them on sxos fine, sometimes i want to play a game that got leaked early, ill use sxos to play it because you dont need an alternate program installed to use stealth mode (i believe its called Incognito on AMS) and I can run the xci with sxos with no issues. and while Edizon is great for being able to use cheats on ams (because really its the only option) its quicker and more fluid on sxos and from what ive seen, sxos doesnt seem to have a filesize limit for cheats like edizon loading does. but general use i find AMS safer (if you have balls of steel like i do and dont play offline), things get updated faster, there are more options in general for customizing your switch, programs are designed more for ams like emuiibo which allows you to emulate amiibo bin files in game with a plugin which can only be loaded on ams. sxos may be fairly efficient and simple but AMS is just better in almost every aspect, its like iOS and Android (im going to get some hate for this comparison) iOS does a few things better or in a class of its own for the specific things, first glance is super easy to figure out, essentially stupid proof. oh darn OC and custom sysmodules sound sweet AF, since I can't use some mods due to these two restrictions on the SX OS. But what do you mean by fast update? Like there are more frequent updates for atmosphere? But personally since I don't need many features and are happy with what I have right now, this is not really a plus for me.Overclocking, custom sysmodules. And fast updates. Faster as sx os
im pretty sure if you hold L while opening the album on sxos it opens the normal album, holding R loads the normal homebrew menu as well, its been a while so i cant remember if they changed it but thats what i rememberIf I could just get the damn normal album to work in SX OS...
I know but that has never worked for me ever since I started using SX OS. I'm sure it's just a problem on my end since it works for everyone else but it just doesn't work for me. I need to boot in OFW to be able to get into the normal album.im pretty sure if you hold L while opening the album on sxos it opens the normal album, holding R loads the normal homebrew menu as well, its been a while so i cant remember if they changed it but thats what i remember
You don't need to hold the L button to open the album normally.im pretty sure if you hold L while opening the album on sxos it opens the normal album
if you don't hold any button when you select the album, you will enter the SX OS menu. If you hold R, you will enter the homebrew menu. And normally if you hold down L, you should get into the normal album with your screenshots & videos etc. The last one never worked for me.You don't need to hold the L button to open the album normally.
