Hi all,
Recently I found out that the 2ds xl's screen is 800x240, at least on early models, and thus capable of 3d provided it also has the parallax barrier. As it seems Ninty used 3ds xl screens in the 2ds xl, this seems likely. This leads me to my point - is there any chance that CFW could enable 3d on the 2ds xl? If not, why?

The most viable approach in my opinion is to fool the 2ds xl into thinking that it has a 3d slider which can be controlled via Luma's Rosalina menu.

If the 2ds XL's screen doesn't have a parralax barrier, could it be swapped for a new/original 3ds xl screen?

Its likely nintendo made it so that 3d isnt even in the 2ds console. hence why its a 2ds. If its such a concern. why didnt you just buy the N3ds xl instead?

I didn't buy the 3ds xl because I won my 2ds xl at a giveaway. Also it was discontinued at that point and I won't buy used consoles.

And the 3d is created by manipulation of the 800x240 screen, plus the integrated parallax barrier in 3ds screens and possibly the 2ds xl's.
The 2ds xl seems to use a 3ds xl's screen with 3d locked to off. The question is whether it can be unlocked and used via CFW.

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.

@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
