I have never found a homebrew Nifi game/app so I always thought it would be a cool idea. The only library that supports it (that I could find) was MicroLua. So I created a short demonstration. This is just a demo, I realize this game is very bad. Note, I tried to upload a video, but it was blocked.

I think that the ds wifi lib actually supports nifi but it's avoided by devs because it can interfere with normal wifi network connections
The wifi library used by cquake does not use broadcast to send data so it should not have this issue. It is based on dswifi but rewrote the association code and uses a different library for network protocols.

The question is, does this work with pure libnds or no?
Yes, the only dependency is libnds. It does not use the dswifi library. There is both arm9 and arm7 code. It uses fnet which I copied into the cnquake repository. I did some limited testing with tcpip which seemed to work, but cnquake uses udp only.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
