PERMANENT Joy-Con Drift Fix? Steam Deck, Nickelodeon Smash Bros & more - Tempcast #48

tempcast-169-logo-png.246523
In this week's episode we talk about YouTuber VK, who has seemingly found a way to permanently fix the drifting issues plaguing the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con for years. Though we cannot confirm whether or not this resolves the issue 100% completely, people have reported positive results. We also discuss the newly announced Switch Pro - I mean, Steam Deck from Valve. And finally, the biggest announcement of them all - Nickelodeon is making their own Smash Bros clone with all of their characters in it. Netflix's gaming strategies are briefly mentioned in this episode as well.

Oh my God, the joycon fix really works and it's ridiculously simple
Why isn't this in the front page.

Not just that, VK accidentally proved that the joycon drift is intentional!
In the inner area of the joycon shell, the analog area has a deboss of 1mm the EXACT size he has to compensate to get rid of drift.

If people add this to ongoing drift lawsuits things are going to get really ugly for Ninty.

Steam deck and the joycon drift solution in the same week. Holy shit.
Nintendo suits must be pulling their hairs out.

So Stephen's gone for good, huh?

Nope, I sHould be back later next week (probably)! I am keeping busy, but I'm eager to get back in to the swing of things. I was busy at moving, then I didn't have internet set up at my new place in time for last week's recording, and I was camping this weekend.

Who gave you internet again? We cut that for a reason thought it would take longer for you to get it installed

For anyone having trouble finding the video:

I was skeptical at first, until I saw the explanation at 7:31, where he goes into the problem and solution in detail. If it's correct then Nintendo really screwed this up: it's not even about wear and cheap components, just bad design...:wtf:
