Gotcha, nah these are just bloggers. That info was perfect a year ago.

SKGleba made YAMT, the info is on GitHub.
https://github.com/SKGleba/yamt-vita

Anyway, do I just need to uninstall StorageMgr's plugin via AutoPlugin II and install YAMT from VitaDeploy? Does uninstalling plugins from AutoPlugin II actually removes them or just disables them?

I read that information here.

And you never had these two problems?

Ok - to install YAMT and replace StorageMgr.

You need to boot with ux0 as either internal storage or a Sony memory card.

When you boot like that, make sure you have VitaShell installed. If not, I can help with that.

Laugh VitaShell and go in to ur0 / tai folder. Edit the config. Where you find StorageMgr.skprx, put a # in front of it.

You can install YAMT from EasyVPK or transfer the vpk file over in Vitashell. Install the installer.

Open the YAMT Installer and uninstall if you can (I know it's not installed), then follow the text and use the X to delete any storage configuration you have. It will reboot you.

When rebooted, launch YAMT Installer again, choose the FULL version for USB storage. It will restart you.

After restart enter the Settings menu, choose devices, storage Devices. In storage Devices check mark in Use YAMT. Set USB to uma0 and ux0 to whatever you have been using (internal or memory card). Back out to settings and then reboot.

It should now be uma0 at boot!

If you want it as ux0, go into Vitashell and into ux0. Go down to highlight one entry and press triangle. Choose Mark All from the list. Press triangle again and choose copy.

Press Circe until you see all the mount-point again (uma0, ux0, etc). Enter uma0. Hit triangle and paste. Wait for it to finish.

Back out to the home screen. Enter settings, devices, storage Devices. Choose ux0 as USB/PSVSD.

Back out and reboot.

Sorry, I meant this (the one @Anderxale showed). Anyway, MrMario2011 also mentions this information regarding Samsung microSD cards but maybe he read it there.

So, do I have to set "ux0:" to "Internal Storage" in YAMT and restart?

I didn't get how can you help users if they don't have VitaShell installed since you said to run it next. How can VitaShell be ran when it's not even installed?

What's EasyVPK?

What's uma0, the internal storage? Can't "ux0:" be set to "USB/PSVSD" right after running Settings, clicking "Devices", clicking "Storage Devices" and checking "Use YAMT" instead of doing that copying step?

Link didn't work for me either, I just looked it up.
https://vita.hacks.guide/yamt.html

Yes, my mistake.

I forgot to write "save when you exiting config". I enter the config a second time to check my work - make sure my changes stuck.

Thanks.

EDIT: It seems the information regarding Samsung microSD cards was removed from said site.

Your internal storage is fine to be ux0.

If you have been using internal as ux0, just don't have any other storage in.

The YAMT that is available in Vita deploy is the correct one! Use that one if you want.

I revised it - knowing more about your PSTV.

You need to turn the power on with no other drives installed.

When you boot like that, make sure you have VitaShell installed. If not, I can help with that.

Open VitaShell and go in to ur0 / tai folder. Edit the config. Where you find StorageMgr.skprx, put a # in front of it.

Install YAMT from wherever you want. 4.0 is required. You can download it using Vita deploy.

Open the YAMT Installer and uninstall (I know it's not installed), then follow the text and use the X to delete any storage configuration you have. It will reboot you.

When rebooted, launch YAMT Installer again, choose the FULL version for USB storage. It will restart you.

After restart enter the Settings menu, choose devices, storage Devices. In storage Devices check mark in Use YAMT. Set USB to ux0. Go further into Driver Settings and make sure both Force Legacy USB mode and Disable extra USB patches are both checked.

It should now be ux0 at boot!

The YAMT that is available in Vita deploy is the correct one! Use that one if you want.

But I've been using USB as ux0.

So, VitaDeploy's YAMT is 4.0? If YAMT already appears on VitaDeploy, it's even faster than downloading it from a website (StorageMgr might be installed from AutoPlugin II [which has to be downloaded from a website] or from StorageMgr's GitHub repository, so both ways require downloading from websites) and then installing it. VitaDeploy's YAMT doesn't even have to be installed if installing the "R + YAMT" taiHEN configuration since the latter already installs YAMT lite (unless the user wants to install YAMT full version and for that VitaDeploy's YAMT is needed).

Well... when you boot, you are switching ux0 to the USB and then refreshing? No, you don't have to copy... Your ux0 is already there.

I didn't do anything yet. It was you who told me to boot ux0 as either internal storage or an official MC.

I revised it - knowing more about your PSTV.

You mean, I can't have the USB flash drive inserted on the PS TV when turning it on?

Again, I didn't get how can you help users if they don't have VitaShell installed since you said to run it next. How are they supposed to run VitaShell when it's not even installed?

Should all users with a PS TV follow those "Force Legacy USB mode" and "Disable extra USB patches" steps or just me? I'm asking this because you said you revised your previous post after knowing more about my PS TV.

Do not choose developer options.
That is where you format... You don't want to format accidently.

OK.

Maybe it's easier to format the PS TV and the USB flash drive and then install YAMT instead of installing StorageMgr and switching to YAMT.

But I've been using USB as ux0.

You have to uninstall StorageMgr and YAMT to install the Full version of YAMT (you said you installed R+YAMT). This requires you be on internal storage when uninstalling and reinstalling YAMT (not the USB... this is just for the uninstall and reinstall of YAMT).

So, VitaDeploy's YAMT is 4.0? Then I don't know people tell me to download it from websites or apps and why they release it there anyway.

VitaDeploy downloads the 4.0 version of YAMT in the apps it can download. Who knows what you have installed or how you hacked your PSTV. I didn't know you had VitaDeploy until you told me...

I didn't do nothing yet. It was you who told me to boot ux0 as either internal storage or a Sony memory card.

Yes, boot with ux0 as internal storage. It has to be either internal storage or a Sony Memory card - depending on what's easiest for you. You have VitaShell on my internal? Perfect - use internal.

You mean, I can't have the USB Flash Drive inserted on the PS TV when turning it on?

Yes. Leave the USB flash drive out when reinstalling YAMT.

Again, I didn't understand how can you help an user if it doesn't have VitaShell installed since afterwards you said to open it. How is he/she supposed to open VitaShell when it isn't even installed?

If i don't have VitaShell on your internal storage - I can help you install VitaShell so you can follow the instructions further (is all I meant...).

Should all users with a PS TV follow that Force Legacy USB mode and Disable extra USB patches steps or just me? I'm asking this because you said you revised your previous post after knowing more about my PS TV.

The PSTV Force Legacy Mode and Disable Extra Patches are required for USB to be ux0. This allows for Standby/Wakeup.

Maybe it's easier to format the PS TV and the USB Flash Drive and then install YAMT instead of switching StorageMgr to YAMT.

You can start from 0 if you want - the instructions would be the same besides adding a # in front of StorageMgr plugin. You would still need to reinstall YAMT as the VitaDeploy method with R+YAMT installs the lite version - USB required the full version.

How can I remove StorageMgr and YAMT? I just followed a YouTube video that said to install YAMT and StorageMgr.

How do I set ux0 to internal storage?
