    Hacking Luma3DS Updater Thread

Obtained the 3DSX file from the latest (v2.5) release zip archive and then used a hex editor to modify the 'location' string mentioned in the file contents so that it instead says 'Location' (single byte change). I did try CIA, but that did not show the 'raw' strings. Really, just needed...

    Hacking Luma3DS Updater Thread

I had put out a pull request that resolves the issue. Tested the fix by manually patching the latest .3DSX build with the modification. https://github.com/KunoichiZ/lumaupdate/pull/84

Question [URGENT] Has GBATemp been hacked?

Password reuse and cross-referring data breaches belonging to other sites might be the problem here. If you had reused passwords anywhere, I would strongly consider changing them with something completely different and using a password manager to help out with the storage and generation of them...

Well, I didn't think 3DSThem.es would make this step

I just came here to see how unappreciative users can be for something the owner has to pay for with their own money and don't earn much from advertisement revenue.

So it was an upgrade or did you have to switch servers?

Epoch usually goes as far back as that year, hence why it would show 1970 specifically.

    Homebrew So, no 10.4

I was thinking that they could replace the 10.3 update with the one that isn't vulnerable to the current exploits so that the people who have a chance of saving their 3DS by using recovery mode could end up updating to that. That would be ridiculous, wouldn't it?

    Homebrew [WIP] SafeSysUpdater

How long have you waited for it? It's supposed to look as if it's hanging for quite a bit. Even though it was within 3 minutes for me, it can take longer.

Homebrew [PSA] 10.4 POSSIBLY releasing 1/12/16

Well. Crap. I'll need to get my SD card reader (3DS one) repaired before it happens. why did I think upgrading would fix the read issue.

Homebrew O3DS users who have tried the latest release of sysUpdater, PLEASE post your results here!

Using the o3DS. Previously on the EUR 10.3 firmware. Worked on first try and went through very smoothly. Used CIAs found in the .ttp archive file (for KernelTimeMachine) which also completely matched the ones from the downgrade ZIP from that ISO site. Now on 9.2-20E.

Homebrew So what is the 000400102002CA00.cia?

The reason I said "may". You're not the only one who's unsure. :P

Homebrew So what is the 000400102002CA00.cia?

This (may) explain what it is: https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/9.1.0-20J As for why, I have no clue.

So the .ttp file (KernelTimeMachine package) is an archive with older CIA's. Will using those CIA's be fine?
