    Well there are many many scenarios, where a torrent is legal. e.g. Nine Inch Nails released the high quality versions of their album "The Slip" (a free and good album btw) over torrents

    well if both are bits (what connection speed is mostly measured in) then there's another factor. You could possibly download up to 4,2 Mb/s, but the server you request data from can only give you 500Kb/s upload speed, so your download isn't the bad guy, but the servers upload OT: Good work, cermage

    Well, I use Windows 7 mainly, OS X sometimes and Ubuntu sometimes as well. I like the free choice of hardware in Windows and (to some degree) in Linux. Being bound to some expensive hardware (officially) is some big fault of OS X. Also every OS has it's UI Pros and Cons. They are all good OSs.

    What's your budget and what do you want to do with the system? If you want to do gaming, I would recommend a AMD Phenom II X4 955, a AM3 motherboard from a trusted brand like gigabyte, and some DDR3 RAM from corsair or g.skill or kingston

    look at the temperatures of the CPU/GPU/etc. If those are ok, try a liveCD of ubuntu or some other linux If this works alright it's most likely some software problem else send it back to asus and let them fix it (and hope it comes back fixed...I could tell stories about Anus support)
