    Played the demo. Game was described as short in a review. Too expensive. I hoped for the cartridge to get cheaper on the used market… which never happened.

    Looks like filb.de removed their Pokemon secret phrase generator, which is slightly annoying; anyone know of a working alternative? Still want those in-game wallpapers.

    Just watched FlyingPringle's fanmade Thomas the Tank Engine episode, "The Good Old Days".
    I'm honestly shocked at just how amazing it was. I haven't watched the show in decades, but the production quality is top-notch. Fantastic work!

    Once they get a full randomizer, those may be options. The rando for PM64 skips the Peach scenes and you can control BP.

    AI: The Somnium Files - great game, but gets embarrassingly silly for a little while in the right-hand route. And the ending is just bizarre, as well - *why a dance ending?!*

    Oh, and it also ignores a very important fact about Hitomi - mainly, that her right arm is permanently paralysed due to events, yet she can move it perfectly fine here.
    UGH. The fuck, Spike Chunsoft? It comes outta nowhere too, and involves every important character despite them having no reason to be present.

    So...yeah, 8/10. I still think 999 and VLR are better, due to them not having such immersion-breaking moments or endings, and the whole 'chapter lock' system is better handled there as well. Plus, well...not really a fan of Mizuki's abrasive personality, either.

    Anyone else here find dark chocolate to be utterly revolting? The lack of sweetness makes it have a very peculiar, and off-putting flavour. If I had a genie's wish, I'd convert all dark choc to milk choc.

    I've now pretty much played through the entirety of Violet, and...god, do I dislike Nemona. She's so goddamn pushy, forcing me into things, and her team is garbage. She's not at all interesting as a character or as a rival.

    Silver was originally a thief and a bad kid, due to being Giovanni's estranged son, but learned compassion from Lance and the player, so he had an actual character arc.
    Nemona has nothing going for her. She's just devoid of likeable traits.

    Not to mention how she's already a Champion-level Trainer before she becomes your rival, which only serves to strip her of any kind of character development - she's not aiming to be a Champion, building up her skills alongside you. No, instead she's weakening herself in order to battle you 'fairly' at first, and it's not like she's trying to 'mentor' you either.
    Nemona is just flat.

    Is it just me, or does Scarlet/Violet just shower the player with healing items (by exploring), then make them redundant by providing so many free auto-heals?

    I mean, I know Game Freak doesn't care one whit about "challenge" (hence the removal of the Exp. Share toggle and Set/Switch toggle, and the Battle Tower, and Elite 4 rematches), but this is just something else entirely. Ugh.

    This isn't new to Pokémon SV at all. There's been a ton of random actions that automatically heal since even Pokémon RGBY

    The series has always handed out free heals, but it's definitely ramped up recently--not for SV, but since gen 6.

    I am sensitive to bright light (for example, a very sunny day is almost blinding, and the white marble bench in the kitchen is also blinding when lit up via the sunroof there), but otherwise my vision's good. I went to the optometrist a month or so ago, and I wasn't diagnosed with myopia.

    But yeah, if I'm having lunch (or brunch) with someone, I prefer to be indoors than outdoors if I can help it...same with my hobbies, really (playing games and watching YouTube are generally done inside).

    At the very least, Xenoblade 3 was a GOTY nominee or something, which was great; 2 would've been a better choice, since it's a much better game overall, but that's years old now. Fantastic to see Xenoblade overall recognised, though.

    A while back, I posted about a nude Yoshizawa model in Persona 5 Royal; now that I've played more, I think it is used - for her Persona awakening scene, since it's in the form of a 'magical girl transformation' sequence (albeit with a sparkly-pink overlay to cover it up during the sequence, a la 'magical girl'). So that's the mystery solved, I suppose.

    Don't know why, but apparently there's a nude model of Yoshizawa in Persona 5 Royal...she's the only character to have such a thing, too. And yes, she's a teenager.

    well, the question has to be asked though. is it detailed in the private regions or is it more so like a mannequin with smoothed over details? if it's the former that's just fucked up even if it's a fictional character, to hell they go. if it's the latter then perhaps it's the case that they where using it as a base model to modify like a doll essentially

    We've had a rainstorm here, leading to a power outage, and it seems to have damaged both the main TV and my brother's desktop (which to be fair, has had a faulty power supply for a while); weirdly enough, my stuff remained unaffected.

    I think it's because my surge-protection power board worked.
    As for the TV, it's fine now; just needed a reset.

    The desktop, however, yeah it's fried - trying to turn it on just results in it remaining on for a few seconds, turning off, then turning back on, etc.

    Now my brother has to decide whether it's worth trying to buy a new power supply for it (if that's the only thing damaged), or just replacing the entire thing, since it is somewhat old (though upgraded over time).

    Oh my god my 13-year-old labradoodle ran away, because a guest yesterday left the backyard gate unlocked, and the wind must've blown it open. We only got him back due to the kindness of strangers, who caught up with him.

    We both thought he was on Mum's bed, as usual, but nope, he wasn't in the house. Almost had to search for him in the car, in the dark...eugh. Thank goodness for those two young women who found him and brought him back, just as we were about to drive.

    A few months ago my Jack Russell Saki also ran away from home. I almost had a heart attack! Fortunately I found her an hour later behind the house eating ...... another dog's vomit ....😅 ......... 😢
