Hardware Project [WIP] Updated Loopy Controller mod

Sounds interesting and I'll check it out, but I've found a source for USBC cables now I just need to fab a bunch of a test cables and come up with a way to keep the board still inside the case. I was thinking of soldering the board to the 3DS motherboard but that runs the risk of a catastrophic...

Hardware Project [WIP] Updated Loopy Controller mod

I've been on a 3DS family modding kick and I wanted to finally tackle the Loopy controller mod, I did still have an old board I never installed but he stopped selling them and released the design files. I emailed him on his forum asking for permission to remix/change his mod and he said yes (he...

I'm doing a USBC mod for someone elses system and it's already got CFW on it, I booted it up to test all the buttons work before screwing it all back together and I can't get into the home screen. If I hold start on boot I can enter god mode 9 and everything looks normal, if I hold select on...

Hacking Hardware Direction Inputs frozen on boot and touch screen non-responsive [troubleshooting]

The 3DS crashed a few times in pokemon moon and now whenever I boot into it the screen is frozen on the empty 'game cartridge slot', if there's a game inserted i can play it but I can't navigate the menu with the direction buttons. Prior to messing with a real game cartridge it was stuck on the...

Nintendo confirmed about 160,000 accounts with linked NNIDs have been breached

I hate how everything needs an account and ID and everyone wants all your info too, one day your old club penguin login will be the entry point to steal your pension while you're dying in a hospice.

    Google Drive Downloading

I'm not familiar enough but it may be a dead end, apparently the programs used to rip streams from amazon netflix etc are closely guarded by the pirates who use them so that security teams don't patch them every five seconds. There just may not be anything easily accessible on the clearnet for you.

(mini rant) "Hardcore" gamers are too concerned about physical copies

Digital games on consoles is horrible but if piracy was way harder and slower I'd be upset with digital games on PC too.

Counting my blessings that my insurance hasn't caused me really any headache (yet, at least) despite the fact that I've been getting way more appointments and what not recently due
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@K3Nv2, what do you mean, what are you trying to do?
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Just looking at a built in mouse pad keyboard combo
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I loose the dongle constantly but they may have better connection with usb frequency
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Imo Bluetooth is always a option of last resort for me
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Except for phones because it tends to be pretty reliable there
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I got a bad habit of taking out usb transmitter and loosing it because they can't you know print names on the damn things
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
But any desktop OS, I've never had anything but frustration trying to get Bluetooth devices to work reliably and stable. It might pair and connect once, and then next time I go to use it I have to delete and re-pair it again
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
5.3 has been so good I think 6 is really going to make it stable
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I remember how shit 3 was

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Solves part of the problem, mixing up which dongle is which. Then you just have to not lose them lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Double D would be proud
    +1
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Even my Xbox One controller I have it paired to my desktop over Bluetooth, it USUALLY works but sometimes it refuses to connect and I have to delete and re-pair it. Maddening
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Gigabytes built in mobo bt/wifi pairs pretty decent
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    That's what I'm using :(
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Ran a driver update in device manager?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Not recently but I think it's less a driver issue and more just Windows having a garbage Bluetooth stack
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Could be I was having issues when I first upgraded it and didn't realiser gigabyte has specific driver revisions which is stupid
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Which is married to the boards revision
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Made my first review
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
I've gone years without ever removing a logitech usb transmitter. Across several replacements of keyboards and mice. It just stays put.
