Not sure, but the description and the latest release are available on archive.org.
Tested on the latest firmware (18.0.0) and Atmosphere (1.7.0) and confirmed that it's working. Well, linking/unlinking the fake accounts, at least. This worked for me. I'm guessing v2.0.1 which was last updated back in Ocotber 2022 will still work with the latest version of Atmosphere?
Thats why I always have my local backup repository for such modding/hacking stuff. I always bet on DMCA banLinkalho git DMCA strike
You are missing the point if in any case you have a local account in your emumcc and the game requires nintendo account, there is no way you can do this without accessing nintendo server. Is there even a need for this? Why not just keep account linked after creating emuMMC? If you unlink and use fake link and get banned, it's still a hardware ban. Same as if you just keep your normal account linked on emuMMC. If it get's banned it's a hardware ban. Your account is still good. I'm not sure I understand why this is even really necessary. Even more unnecessary if using dns mitm, and completely unnecessary if there's not even an internet connection & airplane mode is on.
Well, in my case, I can no longer link an account on my OFW unless I update my firmware to the latest, which I don't want to do at the moment because I want to keep my stock on the lowest possible firmware. Therefore, linking a fake NNID on emuMMC is the only way I know of in order to make some games that required linked NNID to work (like NSO games). Is there even a need for this? Its not about being banned as well, its about safety, who knows maybe your kid suddenly accessed net, or your dns failed. Rather than taking the risk of your nintendo account being banned, why not link a dummy.

Same for the people that have banned consoles, I guess? I wonder if they can link their NNID on the banned console.
I still wonder if creating a linkalho backup on one hacked Switch and restoring that same backup on another hacked Switch will work without problem. I have a proper NNID linked on my second Switch, but I do not have that on the first one.
Thanks for the scenarios where it can be helpful. Do either of you know if the sys-tweak method still works? If people are concerned about safety of their Nintendo account, wouldn't that be the better option because as per:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/using-sys-tweak-to-bypass-linked-nintendo-account-requirements.640432/
"Nintendo behavior throws a shit ton of erpt errors if you're connected to the internet while having a linked Nintendo account that can't actually connect to the servers (whether you're banned, or it's a fake/invalid account, or you're purposefully preventing connections by blanking prodinfo or blocking Nintendo with dns.)"
If you want to keep on adding a configuration file for all the games that requires it, every one is free to do so. Just more steps required than simple fake NNID.
Anyway, to each their own. If you don't see the use of it that doesn't mean its useless or redundant for the others.
Most people find out about it when they want to run nso emulators.I don't think there are even that many games that require it? I tried searching for a list of games that need it and everything I've seen is very small number. I also never said that it's useless or redundant for others. I said I didn't understand why it might be useful under certain circumstances, and reasons were provided.
Im guessing its an oled yes? If so, that signifies a failed installation of the mod chip (dat0 specifically) nothing is related to linkalho or anything. Return it to whoever modded it.Hi all,
After linking my nintendo account to linkalho on my hard modded switch, my switch now boots as an ordinary switch... I don't know how to return my switch back to the modded version.
My homebrew app shows up as an app and not in the album and now I have no access.
What's more I don't know how to boot my switch into the bios!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
yes, my switch is oled, Thank you, sad to hear that.Im guessing its an oled yes? If so, that signifies a failed installation of the mod chip (dat0 specifically) nothing is related to linkalho or anything. Return it to whoever modded it.
