You should try these settings for psx4all :

Show FPS : OFF
Set NULL GPU : ON
Cycle Multiplier : 4

For your DSTwo, it looks like two kinds of bugs, in order :

1. Try this solution to fix your DSTwo Linux :

https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-play-ps1-games-on-your-ds-i-dstwo-required.576668/#post-9258120

2. if the first solution doesn't wortk try to reformat your sd card and reinstall DSTwo Linux
Thank you so much for your help. I Think maybe the issue is that the dmenu.ini is missing from the uploaded PS1 starter pack at the start of this thread. I can't seem to locate the DSTwo Linux by itself either.

Ah yes, sorry, I hadn't thought of that but since it's just a PS1 pack it must be in autoboot (understand only one app) and therefore there must not be the complete distribution in the archive, it doesn't matter, you can still find it in the limbo of the forum and incidentally I must have an archive somewhere on an old hard drive.

I just checked if the archive links contained in certain posts were still valid and that is the case, so to find that, I invite you to browse the entire DSTwo Linux topic and particularly the posts of @VatoLoco and @zfreeman , you will find what you are looking for, for my part if I have time during the week I will try to locate the archive that I took at the time on filerip

Thank you, I have downloaded from this pack: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ildk4td9t1l9y74/DS2_SD_ROOT.7z

I copied to the Root of my SD, but get a penguin and black screen. I have tried 3 different SD cards. I have tried different formatters and it just doesn't work. I have purchased another SD from Amazon. This is so annoying.

Thanks all for your help. I have tried 5 different formatting programs. 6 different micro SD cards. I have made sure my DSTwo is updated to the latest format. It's so annoying, and the thing is the same SD cards work absolutely fine on the Ismart MM DS Linux (the same dingux port, but for the Ismart MM). It just freezes at the penguin stage and I have no idea why. :(

Check if dmenu.ini is not corrupt. Go to /local/dmenu and try to open dmenu.ini. If you see strange characters inside, retransfer the one inside my .rar archive. If the the file is not corrupt, then I do not see why it does not work :(
