I had bought the Mayflash NS Pro 2 because I wanted to connect my Xbox controller to my switch and it sucked! There was way too much delay. Even after that I bought the Brook Xone SE adapter and it sucked too! The delay was fixed by a few milliseconds but it disconnects every time after 7 seconds. Another thing is the White OLED switch I should’ve bought the Splatoon 3 switch but I thought I would get sick of the design but it turns out I love it so now I’m down $350.

Does my first wife count? It cost alot to get her, then cost alot again, to get rid of her. I regret the first part, buying her. Gaming wise, I regret buying a broken frogger arcade machine. I thought I could fix it, but I couldnt. I bought it at an bidding auction and paid way to much for it nonworking. I since have stripped it and made a retro arcade with a Raspberry Pi 4/5 and filled with multi games so not all bad off.

A "1 TB" External Hard Drive. Shit stopped working when I used 111GB of data.
I regret the price I paid for it. Strangely, the Sata to USB board works and the Mini USB it came with also works and I've been using it a lot lately to transfer files between 2 SSDs and 2 2.5 HDDs.

I also kinda regret buying my current soldering iron. The tips are completely oxidized now, and can't find spares because it's off-brand. It still works but it's a struggle.

Lesson learned: Don't buy Chinese crap! If you need spare parts or replacements you won't find them!

I bought Cubic Ninja for $35 from GameStop back when Ninjahax was still one of the only realistic ways of modding a 3ds. About two weeks later the first big Luma exploit came out and Ninjahax was all but obsolete.
I bought Kirby and the Rainbow Curse WiiU digitally from the eshop. I think I played it for like 15 mins. I don't buy digital anymore.
I'll do ya one better. I just don't buy anymore! Nintendo games, at least. I'm usually willing to support a game company unless they have a bigger legal team than a game development team.

Use some sandpaper to get the tip clean and it's good to go

A clear case controller for PS3/PS4/Switch which is really good, except for the shoulder buttons which are clicky so that's something gotta get used to.

I decided just to keep it than sending it back. There's nothing faulty with it.

Also, it uses USB-C so it's more convenient than Mini/Micro USB controllers.

P.S. If anyone is wondering how is it compatible if it doesn't have a touchscreen (or whatever it's called), one of those buttons does work to open the left part, but there isn't a button for the right side (so it won't boot up PS2 games that require it).

The GPD XD Plus.
Used it once, then the rubber cover fell off the joystick. Kept trying to use it but then the hinge broke. It got literally no updates and the community around it was dead right off the bat. GPD lost my support after that purchase.

As luck would have it, I was lamenting about my PlayStation Move + Light Gun combo earlier in another thread. I think I only played Time Crisis 4 for one evening.

A prostitute.

Actually it was just the fact that it was a sting operation and I got arrested, I wouldn't have regretted it if I successfully had the prostitute.

Oh, this is the gaming section. Carry on pretend this post doesn't exist. Uhh Crysis 3.

:rofl2: What if you found out it was a trans with his plumbing still in intact? :tpi::rofl2::tpi:

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
