I would agree except for the fact that I kind of like the more open empty parts for one reason and that's realness. Real life spaces aren't always full of people or interesting things to do. I feel like the weakest part of Skyrim is that a large amount of the plot threads lacked closure, which has little to do with the size of the world. They just kind of petered out.

I get what you mean about the plot, but that happens often when halfway through development the points of focus are lost and they just start doing other things... About what I said regarding areas with lots to do, I don't mean there aren't empty areas, there are a LOT with just 3-4 enemies within 5 whole minutes of horseback riding.

It's just in TWII there are little caves for example with loot inside hidden all over the place, ancient ruins to explore and even in the most random village you will go to you can literally open every cabinet you can see, like there's not a cabinet, basket, anything in the whole game that's empty with very rare exceptions to keep it realistic. Now THAT's attention to detail:P
DRM is useful because it.... does what again?

Because it's completely foolproof against piracy and a great way to make sure your games are always available if you lose your copy on top /s

Doesn't calling out "racism" every chance people get actually make them even bigger racists?

Honestly, people should stop caring so much and at every time something negative happens from one person to another instead of trying to decide based on their races, instead they should decide based on the person. Blacks can be assholes too you know:P We are all tired of that shit...

Anyone can be an asshole so why point out a single race like you just did?

That's part of the never ending cycle of racism right there because I didn't even mention a race.

But I've already been accused of being racist against white people despite most of my friends being white and you know me being white as well.

So yeah everyone can be asshole and I choose to believe that's what you meant.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
