Welcome to Rainbow Six Siege, your one-stop shop of a tactical shooter! As someone with 690+ hours on the game, I will be your guide into the latest title in the Tom Clancy series.
Rainbow Six Siege has online multiplayer and single player, with the main focus on the multiplayer. Progress is gained through online multiplayer, but single player is a great way to learn the basics around the game. In fact, the game encourages you to start on the single-player mode called Situations. In this mode, you must be a lone wolf against a terrorist-infested base. Your mission is simple: rescue a hostage, secure an area, or kill all terrorists in the area. After the situation is finished you will gain a small amount of XP and renown. The single player is short but it does help with the transition into the siege physics. The single player, however, is the week spot of the game. It has no real story behind it, and it is so short it can be completed in less than an hour.
The multiplayer is where the game shines. On teams of 5 versus 5, you must either secure the objective or eliminate the other team. The game (from a multiplayer standpoint) is a great tactical shooter and brings a new light to the Tom Clancy series of games. The game is well balanced (character wise) and is always changing though patches of the characters called operators.
Operators happen to be the character you choose at the beginning of each round. Each operator is different but overall really well made and balanced

Rainbow six siege does have some short comings like most games. Hit boxes seem to be broken in some games, and in rare occasions hit scan doesn’t work. Other issues mainly revolve around the servers for the game (mostly good but a few bad eggs). Honestly, for a game the revolves around multiplayer this should be fix number 1.
I will be updating this with new box art and pictures when I can get to my PC. I hope you enjoyed the review

8
Gameplay
The gameplay under the siege engine is truly amazing and is utilized in a great way.
5
Presentation
The single player is the first thing the game urges and its lack luster to say the least but it does teach the basics.
9
Lasting Appeal
The lasting appeal is where this game is strong. The game is constantly changing bringing new things, and fixing old things.
