Hacking Wii U Hacking & Homebrew Discussion

PsvProxy only blocks the Nintendo servers from consoles that connect to the internet through the computer with the PsvProxy running, so it would only block consoles that are setup to be blocked not any console connected to the internet.

Any reason why you guys are using openDNS that sounds unreliable and a pain to setup instead of PsvProxy modified to block all of Nintendos update servers? PsvProxy works like a charm and is ready to start blocking right away, seems like the better choice to me.

    Hacking Gateway Downgrading

Just formatted the SD and it seems to be starting the downgrade fine now, oddly enough my EMUNAND partition is still there.

    Hacking Gateway Downgrading

Do you have to format the sysnand after creating the emunand without the SD card in the system? also I tried formatting my sysnand after updating my emunand but it didn't work, would it work if I did it beforehand?

Ive literally clicked backup NAND, let it run then immediately gone to the downgrade screen and it still doesn't work.

    Hacking Gateway Downgrading

Anyone know why after I downgraded successfully to 4.5, loaded my previous 9.2 NAND backup and created a emuNAND partitiion the gateway downgrade menu keeps asking me to backup my sysNAND even though I have already backed it up multiple times and it is on my SD card?

You could check a few pages back they were talking about hex locations for folder colours and stuff you could also check page with all the theme hex offsets. I was able to modify 0x10 and 0x24 to change scrolling background to static so you should be able to change folder colours fairly easily...

Yup that is correct. Side note decompressing with EFE seems to not work correctly.

EFE has to edit an uncompressed theme I think for it to work, and the ThemeEditor saves compressed themes.

I don't know too much about the colour hex's the only ones I have modified are 0x10 and 0x24 so far. Check a page or two back there were people talking about the colour hex's its something like they are reversed. The way it worked for me I guess was I used a saved theme from the theme editor...

No problem, also you might need to recompress it with LZ11.bat after you save it with EveryFileExplorer You can get the LZ11.bat from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-replace-zelda-ss-textures-and-models.313747/ Download the link called "LZ11.bat with DSDecmp" and drag the uncompressed...

Nice, gotta love the Zelda themes and we both have good taste since your using the same Majora picture I used in my theme (pg 16) :D. If you want to fix the top left corner I found that loading the theme in EveryFileExplorer and loading the picture there seems to fix it.

Any idea why I might lose store theme sounds for clicking when I change the 0x10 and 0x24 values and re-compress the file with new images? EDIT: Never mind Every File Explorer just sucks for decompression of LZ11.

What compression type do you use for the body_LZ.bin? I've been messing around but haven't been able to get the theme to load on my 3ds.

Do you have the body_LZ.bin from it? If so yes I would very much like it!

Sweet thanks, glad you like it! Yeah I tried to get rid of the white box at the top of the screen multiple times but was not able to, and as far as the sounds go I'm not sure how to replace those sound files as the custom theme tool doesn't support those yet. Maybe if I could get the Nintendo...
