Thanks Brother!!! Just updated other forum on progress of PFSSHELL...got my virtual XP machine running and PFSSHELL runs like a champ and is pretty fast too! Now I'll get into the OPL stuff you just sent me and my next questions will be about getting PS1 games to run that are supposed to be...

PS1/2 install games over network to work with opl

Thank you! I can NEVER have too many options. If one doesn't work, then the others just might. Again, many thanks! MOST humbly & sincerely...Tom **UPDATE: this software will only run with WinXP (NOT in Win7+ under ANY compatibility mode) so I'm having to set up a WinXP Virtual Machine...

PS1/2 install games over network to work with opl

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was just getting ready to search the net for this and you came through for me and I thank you so very much! This is the same program Assassin just recommended too, so we're all on the same sheet of music and I'm going to be able to transfer my games! YES...

PS1/2 install games over network to work with opl

Hi Guys...I looked at both of your suggestions and they will allow me to install PS2 games to my IHDD (see my sig for my setup); but, what I'm truly looking to do, which I wasn't clear on to begin with (I'm VERY sorry) is to transfer my PS1 games to my IHDD. My preferred method would be via my...

PS1/2 install games over network to work with opl

Don't know much about hdl_dumb, so I'll have to find it and read up on it. I'm ahead of OPL 0.8x so I'm going to have to do one of two things...downgrade or upgrade...don't know which, but Assassin says they had troubles with my version, so need to get that sorted first. Thanks so much for...

PS1/2 install games over network to work with opl

Thanks Assassin! I'll try HDLGameInstaller. Just for my information, if I can locate the latest OPL betas, is there a tool I can use to interact with it? I do like to play around with different methods of moving things around so I can learn more. MOST humbly & sincerely...Tom

PS1/2 install games over network to work with opl

I'm trying to connect to my PS2 30001R (NA with 250g internal HDD) over my network. My network is setup around my 192.168.1.1 gateway, so I had to change the default PS2 settings, which I was able to do successfully and save in OPL, uLe, and FMCB Configurator. I'm able to start the OPL server...

PS1/2 HELP! (Newbie) Loads of Woes with FMCB

[SOLVED] Hello All… PLEASE, I need help with my Free McBoot (FMCB) Memory Card (MC). I’m sorry this is a long post, but I want you to know all that I do on this matter so you can be as informed as possible up front. I am a newbie to the PS2 softmodding world by all accounts, but I’ve been...

Hacking HELP (Newby) Running Multi-Disc Wii Game Backups

Well, Cyan, now that I know more about the game series I won't be playing it for sure. It sounds like a cool game and I think we all like to play cool games, but not at the cost of this one, so no worries...I'm out on this one. I was more interested in handling multi-disc games for Wii anyway...

Hacking HELP (Newby) Running Multi-Disc Wii Game Backups

Well, that is a bummer...won't be doing that then, but knowing how to handle multi-disc games is gold in my book anyhow. Thanks for the heads up on that...I won't waste my time...didn't read that little nugget anywhere to be sure. I hear, though, they are re-releasing it here in the US on the...

Hacking HELP (Newby) Running Multi-Disc Wii Game Backups

Ya, I was afraid of that. I do know that the back ports are the only ones that support HDDs, and the bottom one is for the WiiU while the top can be used for the vWii. So, I'm guessing I'd need to disconnect one of those drives, most likely the WiiU drive, in order to test this out. We'll see...

PS1/2 HELP (Newby) Putting all the Pieces Together

Hi All...I've read tons of stuff now and am so confused I can't figure out what is what. So what am I looking to do? 1) Softmod my PS2 Phat 30001 w/HDD (Will be modding a OEM Network Adapter for SATA HDD -- stuff on the way) 2) Load my backup PS2 AND PS1 games to HDD 3) Play my backed up PS2...

Hacking HELP (Newby) Running Multi-Disc Wii Game Backups

I'm rather new to all of this, though I've learned a lot, I still have a long way to go. So the install wouldn't have to take place on the two ports in the back where my HDDs are hooked up? How would that all work, then, with USB Loader GX? Would I stick a "Stick" into one of the front ports...

Hacking HELP (Newby) Running Multi-Disc Wii Game Backups

Ohhhhhh....now that is a bugger...I recall that now that you mentioned that. It has been some time since I looked into this game series, so had forgotten, but the very article you led me to is the one I believe I read. As I have no USB ports left, can't very well do this then. But, I think...

Hacking HELP (Newby) Running Multi-Disc Wii Game Backups

OK, so I'm to try to run disc two instead of disc 1...got it. That mirrors what The Real JDbye said. I will try that. I haven't got the games loaded up on the vWii yet because the naming convention for both discs of each respective games is the same (i.e. Dragon Master X Game Title 1 [XXXXXX]...

Hacking HELP (Newby) Running Multi-Disc Wii Game Backups

I don't think I was clear. There is a .wbfs/wbf1 for each disc and there are two discs...this is the case for 2 of the games in the series. Are you saying something that I'm not quite understanding? Each disc's .wbfs/wbf1 files are in the same folder -- the respective games' disc 1 folders...

Hacking HELP (Newby) Running Multi-Disc Wii Game Backups

Hello All... My question is simple, although I know the answer may not be. I'm VERY interested in being able to load and run multi-disc Wii game backups (NOT GameCube) from my vWii HDD. I've not seen this addressed in all that I've read, but I'm hoping someone out there knows how to do this...

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

OK, yet again I'm learning...I'm sorry it is at your expense. I'm using the latest loader GX build as well as the latest NINTENDON'T build. I was surprised the loader didn't see the drive as it is the very latest revision (r1265 - just updated it a week ago based on your advice). I don't...

Hacking cIOSX rev21d2x: Yet Another Hot Fix!!!!

Hi Cyan...I'm sorry to bother you yet again, but I have a question for you based on what you've said above...I would very much like to play my Call of Duty games and you seem to indicate I need something in slot 250 to do that...what might that be please?? I currently have d2x at r52 base57 in...

Hacking How to run Wiiware on SD?

I'm sorry I was so unclear...I backed up my nand to HDD:\EMUNAND\ and installed several .wad games/virtual consoles. USB Loader GX showed all of the .wad installs perfectly. I thought I would back up my progress, so I backed up my entire drive to a backup HDD (all contents to included...
