PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

UPDATE: I oiled the motors and greased the gears/rails on the laser assembly, raised the voltage from about 10.4mv to 11.5, and BAM, those two games run good as new (for now). Huge W.

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

Looks like my burned Metal Gear Solid disk is stalling too. The playstation is making noise though, I'll try greasing the motor before I replace anything.

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

I don't understand how you are running this test. I just went to the surface scan section and clicked test.

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

This is one of those slim PS1 models that came out later. Probably doesn't change that much though.

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

I have heard this, but the effect certainly isn't rapid. I have discs with sticky labels on them from over 10 years ago that still work fine, all my other discs with sticky labels - even the ones with significantly off-center placement - work fine too.

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

I only have one working CD drive for PC, and one working PSX, so nope. I wonder if it's just some slight wobble in the disc caused by slightly off center paper label that is causing the problem. This doesn't seem to cause any issue in some of my other games with slightly off center labels.

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

The disc past both the Nero DiskSpeed check and the Imgburn ISO verification with 100%, 0 errors.

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

Alright I'll try nero. The lasers aren't particularly hard to find, I've replaced a couple of them for friends in the last year. I'm not sure how trustworthy the Aliexpress sellers are but they sure have a lot of lasers. I actually get PTSD from thinking about hardmodded PS2s. It took me 4...

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

This wouldn't really surprise me, the natural follow-up to that is "how do I check?" What is ap? They are good brand new verbatim printable cd-r with silver. Again, no issues with any of the other discs. How exactly do you verify if a burn is "good" or not? What features would I need on the...

PS1/2 Why might this burned game be failing?

Here is the problem: I burned a ton of games for my PSX recently. All of them were verified after burning to make sure they burned correctly. After burning I labeled them all. Some of them had artwork printed directly onto the disc, others had artwork printed to sticky labels that were then...

What does it mean when PSX games are labeled (T)?

I'm looking through a list of roms that exist for PSX games, a bunch of them are labeled like "LSD - Dream Emulator (T)" instead of the more typical "Metal Gear Solid (USA)". What on earth is this supposed to mean? There is no region that starts with T.

Yeah, hdlbatch just inserts them itself.

Is it possible to rip blu-ray movies using a hacked PS3?

How to dump it in the first place though? It will not even show up, encrypted or otherwise, the closest I have gotten to ripping it is aborted automatically at 0.00%.

PS1/2 HDLBATCH: A batch installer for adding games onto a PS2 HDD

Yup. I just loaded all the different games into a folder with the HDL batch files, ran it, and it inserted the new games only directly onto the drive without corrupting anything. Works Great.

Is it possible to rip blu-ray movies using a hacked PS3?

It doesn't seem to matter when I insert it, it never shows up at all unless I keep tabbing through the different UIs with R1 or L1, and in that case it only shows up as this: If I try to make a copy of that, it aborts at 0.00%. No idea what to do about that or even *if* there is anything I...

Is it possible to rip blu-ray movies using a hacked PS3?

Model: CECH-2501A mmCM: 4.84.00 HEN: 4.84HEN [SC-35 | PL3] firmware version: COBRA 4.84 HEN Firmware: 4.86 I have my PS3 modded, and have successfully backed up some of my games to the internal HDD. I would like to backup some of my blu-ray movies as well, but they do not show up in multiman...

Hacking Hackable PS3 models and information

I looked at the list of hackable models on the front page of this thread, and did not really understand what I was reading. I have a CECH-2501A on firmware 4.86, I'm not really interested in playing backups, what I want to do is use the Blu-Ray drive inside the PS3 to rip backup copies of my...

PS1/2 HDLBATCH: A batch installer for adding games onto a PS2 HDD

Can you use HDLBatch to install new games on a PS2 HDD that already has a bunch of different games on it, without reinstalling all the games on the hard drive? Anything I should watch out for trying this?

    Hacking Nintendont

Not faulty, likely just a power cable because I bought a ton of them cheap to charge my controllers years ago, it wouldn't have crossed my mind that they wouldn't have data wires if you didn't bring that up. I don't actually need my arcade stick to work I'm just thrown off by the fact that it...
