3DS consoles are not optimized to run anything over 32gb but its possible. Just use a external program to format it to FAT32 and it will run it. Despite it being completely unlikely, expect some random crashes.

what program need for format? and old3ds support 128GB?
doesn't make a difference if old or new 3ds. they officially support only up to 32GB but you can format a higher card to fat32 and usually works fine
(people reported some slow loading on 64 gb+ cards or some crashes, but usually works fine)
any format program will do, if you are on windows you can use https://fat32-format.en.softonic.com/

keep in mind, format will delete all data on the sd card, so move the stuff to another place if you care about it

the cluster size is supposed to be 32k as far as i remember the 64k also works but for all games like gba etc 32k is the best option

Use an external app to format it to FAT32 and use 32k cluster size but, 128GB cards work flawlessly (In my case N3DS).
The only thing that I have noticed with my 128GB Samsung is that it takes a couple seconds longer to get everything loaded after powering up the device.

I have a 64 gb samsung and yes it takes little longer to load but works flawlessly, another thing when i first wanted to use the card it was being used in aky3ds plus, i formatted the card and the 3ds wouldnT recognise the sd card than after two failed attempts on good formatting softwares i triesthe gui format for 64 bit and voila the card worked

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)

@BigOnYa, Lol I bought a new USB card reader thing on AliExpress last month for I think like 87 cents. Free shipping from China... It arrived it works and honestly I don't understand how it was so cheap.
