Hello all, I recently bought an enclosure for my 2.5" HDD that came out of my PS3 to be able to use it as extra storage space for when I need it.. However when I connected it to my PC it appeared to install (the Driver Icon installing thing appeared in the corner) but after that nothing happens and the computer doesn't seem to regonise it as it doesn't appear in My Computer.. The LED is on and I can hear and feel the drive moving but clearly something is up..

The drive should be fine seeing as it came out of my PS3 but it did corrupt once after a game froze one time ages ago (Ten guesses for what game it was.. xD) but it was fine after the PS3 did it's checks.

Many possibilities
1.) PC's USB ports are problematic and therefore try to find the 'sweet spot' for the usb plug to be put in (i have this issue)
2.) The drive's FAT is corrupted or problematic. Try opening a disk manager and see if you can see your hard disk in there. If yes, try to recover it. I think minitool disk manager or something helps (i had this issue too and it got resolved with this method)
3.) Antivirus or something is scanning the disk and therefore not showing it. Wait for some more time and see if it appears.
Try another computer and the problem may be seen.

Ah, I think I've got it now thanks, which should be better to use a Primary or a Logical? Oh and what is the best format these days? Might decide to use it in as a Wii HDD at some point to so keep that in mind.
