Ok, thank you very much. I thought it was a compatibility issue.
It crashes when i load the game... will do some more investigation, if nobody knows how to solve it.
(I'm on 8.1 emunand, sx OS 2.9.4, retroarch 1.8.8)

Are you using title redirect? (hold R on a switch game and launch it) to access Retroarch? If not it will probably crash.

it's either the roms you're trying don't yet work, your firmware is too old 8.1, or something else on your end. It works for me just booted 3 games in a row first try in SX OS I'm on firmware 10.0.2 using SX OS Beta 2.9.5.

Switch: 9.2.0, SXOS:V2.95, Retro 1.8.8

I highly recommend to making a clean re-installation of retroarch and of course run it in full ram. Everytime my retroarch crashes is because of file corruption because I'm always moving from Atm to SXOS.

Maybe is some incompatibly bug from your switch setup, most likely the firmware, thats why I keep my firmware the lowest that I can.

Hope you can find the way to make it works.
Thanks for your reply
I too think that the problem is the firmware (i've made the update to 10.4 because i want to play to cold steel 3 next week)
I'll try to reinstall retroarch, maybe it will work.

there is no reason to use sxos. You would not want to use sxos until OC is possible and to my knowledge it is not. OC gpu helps so it's worth using atmosphere. Why are you not simply booting atmosphere? I use my sxos dongle to boot atmosphere all the time. Why people do not do this amazes me. The edge of oc with sys click gui is a big deal and you should not simply use one cfw over another. Use them all. SXOS for example can usb load. Here atmos is superior for 3ds.

I do plan on covering the 3d features eventually. I hope to do a video on my impressions using a psvr/sony 3d tv/labo vr. Should be out in next few weeks.

I made a tut some may find useful. I was unaware the beta supports 3ds firmware being added.

I'm getting really bad slowdown with Omega Ruby, especially when entering battles. Overclocked with RA and with Sysclick. I don't get it, because in all the gameplay videos I've seen ORAS seems to run great.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, No, but I've seen it on Vinesauce's stream.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, that game is one of the reasons i met newgrounds bc the full versión of it is in that site

    Also somebody is remaking it

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
The 2006 versión was made when the flash portal was made
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Many people thought it was lost, but was discovered that he hid it on the same page.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's been there for a long time, too. People who search for lost media don't look hard enough lmao.

@SylverReZ, also the pico 2 demos used to be only for the newgrounds patrons but they are on internet archive too (https://archive.org/download/picos_school_2)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Iirc the demos were removed from newgrounds in 2022
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, or well only the demo with mindchamber's style was on newgrounds
