Hello,

I have two SD cards. One card has a capacity of 2GB, the other has a capacity of 64GB. Both cards are formatted to FAT32 file format. The 2GB works fine on my 3DS. But the 64GB card can't be read by my 3DS. After starting up my 3DS there always occurs an error message saying that the files of the sd card couldn't be read.

But the strange thing is that the 64GB card works fine on other devices. Every file on it can be read and erased by my PC and Android smartphone for example.

Do you have any suggestions what could be the cause for my problem?

Thank you for your answers.

Try different cluster sizes? If it's properly formatted it shouldn't be a problem. The 3DS works with SDXC cards just fine.

Your Welcome Idk why morons recommend that crap of a tool
3DS systems require the SD cards to be in FAT32 format, primary partition, and MBR disk with some leeway for the cluster size.

guiformat can't convert cards that are in GPT disk back to MBR disk nor logical partition to primary. That's why MiniTool Partition Wizard is recommended.

You're probably right. But for me guiformat is the only program which is useable/ working to format a SD card so it can be read by my 3DS.
