Im new to all this so... yeah

In short recently ordered a sd card to mod my wiiu, while waiting for it to come in I have not been able to find a proper guide to figure out how to get wiiu games onto it once I have modded my wiiu.

What The hell do I use to get games and where do I get the game files from?

where are the games stored? on the sd card or not? I ordered a 128gb sd card expecting that to be the only thing I would need for getting the homebrew on the wiiu and the game, but have seen videos and posts on Reddit of people using 1 TB HDDs and find that excessive.

I'm also looking for any info on the wiiu and modding it

(also unrelated question but how do i get bo2 with all the DLC onto my wiiu)

We cant tell you where to get games but NUSspli can help you out with installing things ;)

Now for storage no the SD card is normally not used at all really, everything is stored in the internal memory or on USB devices attached to the system.
This changed very recently tho but you'll need to setup ISFSHax to be able to use a special plugin that lets you use a partition on the SD card for storage, the Wii U sees it as a USB drive.

That said you can just get a flashdrive and use that, I did for years and had no issues.

Oh and since BO2 was never on the eshop you'll need to buy the disc or find a WUP of it I guess.

i think i saw something about that partition thing around these forums, does it seems complicated to do? or is it like have any huge risks attached?

I mean there is always a risk but I have had no issues with setting up ISFSHax and right now im playing Wind Waker HD from SD card, seems fine.

If you have ever used any kind of partition manager then shrinking the fat32 partition then formatting the new empty space to NTFS is simple.
Here is the guide for it https://gbatemp.net/threads/sdusb-the-modern-way-to-play-wii-u-games-from-sd-at-full-speed.655744/

TBH isfshax saved me when i was converting my JP system to NA since its menu can load even if the system storage gets wiped lol.

I just finished getting aroma and NUSspli my only concern now is how nusspli handles the data of games i need to store. In short its back to whether or not i can store games on the sd card using only nusspli

Also if I am infact forced to download ISFSHAX what are the risks associated with it, because if all I'm doing is trying to make my sd card a place for games is there much risk involved?

I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.

I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length

All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.

My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go

Ken unless the games are made for that screen size most suck on a screen that size... Having a square screen and being brighter and higher res helps but it's not a cure all, text is tiny bullets are tiny, your.... Well lol
