Trying to think of a name for this wii homebrew. It would be easily to call it "tank", "vector", "zone" or something arcady retro 80s but I am leaning towards "moon" refencing the landscrape rather than the vehicle. Playable demo soon.

The pointer controls need a bit of work because they are mapped directly to the camera which work well with a mouse in dolphiin but is crazy disorienting on the television. if yall want to experience it now let me know. otehr wise I will gradually tweek it until I get the pointer right.

Should I create a new thread or just roll with this one? might as well roll with this. its been a year since I have been tinkering with this pointer based tank/mech game and I finally have a demo/proof of concept that is playable; NewoMoon Beta build 0.25

The game can only be played with a wiimote and nunchuck because pointer controls the aiming. You have a main gun which is infinite and a bomb which is currently infinite as well.

Things I need feedback on;
- how does it control, shooting, driving, tank controls
- should I go with the retro all green or add coloured lines

Things that need to be worked on not in place;
- sound effects, I am going to add a ton of retro sound effects as soon as I finish the main game
- enemies are mostly cubes right now, will be replaced with I get the time and animations are still being worked on.
- progression through levels and enemy types.
- pickups and powerups and such
- some kind of reloading mechanic for the main gun.

Neat. Some general feedback (haven't played it)

* The radar is kind of distracting in the middle
* I wonder if the enemy "motherships" could have weakpoints that you need to target. Little enemy ships could gather around that point, trying to block you from taking out the big one.
* I like the trees a lot.
* The explosions look really good far away. I wonder if the cubes should be smaller when you are closer
* A future polish idea could be to subdivide the objects when they are destroyed and have pieces break off

Thanx for you quality feed back as always!

I could put the radar at the top like in battlezone or maybe at one of bottom sides. Will switch around in the next beta update.

Mothership weak points are something I definitely need to figure out. Need to also be inline with the 3d model as well. To-do list.

I create some shards when the enemy dies but splitting the whole model into bits is definitely in the "nice to have" bucket.
