Hardware After how much time the 3D "WOW Effect" vanishes for you?

Since I got the Ocarina of Time I begin to play a bit more than 30 - 45 Min. at a stretch.
However, this made me realize that this "deep 3D" or "looking into another world" if you wanna call it this way, vanishes.
Thats happening for me after around 1 and a half hour.

Sure its still different than in 2D Mode, but its not a huge leap anymore, like on the beginning.
After making some hours break, the 3D Effekt is back in all its glory.

At all, every Picture, even if its flat, gets 3D in our mind, the 3DS or 3D glasses helps to make it feel more "real".

After how much time does this happen for you?

I barely ever got the WOW factor.
Its not eye-popping 3D.
Very little amount is eye popping, such as the butterflies in Rayman 3D.
That was pretty much the ONLY eye popping effect that made me saw "WOW" lol.

I think its really a very nice effect, partly better than in 3D Movies.

Well, it feels like I am looking through a window.
The "WOW" factor comes when things pop up to your face, or at least popping out towards you.

well, that was not my question.
Maybe the Titel was misleading.

For closing it, yea, its like "looking trough a Window" or into a little "Box".
Here my question was, after how much time this effect is gone.

Well, after playing with 3D on there are two outcomes.
Either your eyes get tiired and you still feel the strain. Meaning you would obviously know the 3D effects.(first day only, for me)
or
You get adjusted to it and stop noticing the difference.(for me, 30-40 minutes)

I never had a "WOW effect" to begin with... I have played the thing entirely in 3D since I got it... but nothing has impressed me as yet, nothing to make me go "wow".

That being said, however, I prefer to keep the 3D on... mostly... And actually prefer the way it looks in Zelda.

Haha, I was thinking about this yesterday. I was going through some 3D photos that I've taken... And I thought "I can't really see the 3D... Not as well as I did at the start."
I completely agree. Playing OoT with 3D on when I first played it blew my mind. I was amazed with the depth. But now, it's not as much of a wow.

In fact when I play with 3D on (playing OOT) I can see thicker black lines on character borders making the game look less pretty. So I've played 90% of OOT with 3D off.
It's definitely different to 2D gameplay, but the WOW Factor has vanished.
I've had the console for just under a month.

A while back someone on this forum stated that N should have put the time & effort they had developing the 3D effect into just solid features and better hardware. I definitely more than agree at this point. I miss the days where a GBA was released after the GBC. But of course, nowadays everything needs a separate and creative incentive to be able to purchase a console/portable, even though that's only progress and was destined to happen, it's still a little sad that most of us are going to have to jump through so many hoops ($250 ones) in order to be able to simply wanna play some really good games.

To answer the question though, I noticed it after a lot of gameplay with Street Fighter. It's only natural to get used to things like that. The other day I thought about the idea of eye-tracking in order to get the 3D effect without glasses and i'm sure this has already been thought of and is being tested.

Well, the street fighter 4 glitch and Rayman 3 made me believe that the hardware is not fully utilized at this stage.
I am sure they can do a lot more eye-popping content, but it may require more time and work.

I don't know about you guys but it hasn't vanished for me, it's like looking into a real 3D world without any screen in the way and I quite enjoy viewing it that way. Switching it to 2D mode makes it look really flat, something I can't go back to.

It hasn't really "gone away" for me. I still get a little wow'd by playing OoT 3D. I'm sure the big "WOW" will be back when I get Super Mario 3D Land, which really takes advantage of the 3D.

I left it barely on to fix most of the shitty aliasing. The actual 3D effects aren't really worth it.

I was reminded more often of it being wrong with screwed up perspectives than it actually being pulled off good.

It hasn't gone away yet. I've played ocarina of time in bursts of 9 hours straight and it still continues to impress me

I simply can't play without 3D now because it seems too blurry and the 3D is all the way up it seems more crisp and sharp

Even though I didnt buy the system for the 3D, I do find it helpful when it comes to distance timing and aiming. Ex. I found that I could beat Phantom Gannon much more easily if I used the low 3D effect to aim and then used the high effect to reflect his bolts back. Or when I had pilot wings I could hit the targets much more easily if I used the effect. So I dont really have much of a "Wow" but more of a "Thanks

" when I use it. And thats good enough to make me turn it one every other time I used the system
