So...I downloaded the update, but haven't actually booted my game up. Is it safe to delete said update so I can edit the save file first?
It's safe, since the game doesn't have any actual player data stored on the update. ( player data as in triggered the Isabelle cutscene, MEOW tutorial, etc. )So...I downloaded the update, but haven't actually booted my game up. Is it safe to delete said update so I can edit the save file first?

yes you canthx but... how i can delete the update in the system settings?
I edited a save file from before the update, and it still says it's corrupted when i load it (with the update, but the save isn't updated so it shouldnt matter. Loading it unmodified bring up the whole "Welcome to the updated version" thing)That guide was probably written before the update. The offsets are different now and also the checksums will be written differently too. You're going to have to wait until we figure this all out.
As I said, you have to delete it in system settings. Then go to data management > nintendo 3ds > downloadable content, find the update and delete it.thx but... how i can delete the update in the system settings?
THX !!!As I said, you have to delete it in system settings. Then go to data management > nintendo 3ds > downloadable content, find the update and delete it.
Also, this thread is about the save editor. Let's keep it on topic!
Can anyone help datamining the new item list and villager list?
I've already have them, thank you :-)Do you still need this? I've had the update unpacked since it went live and only now have time to take a look at it. The most I could do is pass along the msbt files to you to get the names.
